I bought this Dream from the original owners son about 3 years ago. She purchased it in 1964 and rode it very little until she died in the 1980s. The son kept it in a garage for approx 20 years where it collected dust and got a couple of scratches and small dings but was never ridden. The license plates last sticker was from 1989. The paint was original and most of the chrome was in excellent condition. The bike had 3900 miles and the yellow paint dobs were still on the wheels as it never made it to its 4000 mile inspection to have them removed. The carb was seized so it would not start but I made the purchase and hauled it home. I pulled the carb and let it soak for a week and installed a rebuild kit, put in a fresh battery and gas and she started right away. (amazing after 20+ years) The seat had a small tear and as I said it has a few scratches and small dings otherwise she cleaned up and as you can see in the pics looks amazing for a 50 year old bike. I installed a new rectifier, seat cover and new tires but still have the originals (except for the seat cover) and they will be included with the sale. The original air filter was missing so it has an aftermarket one installed right now, original ones are available on ebay. I also have a copy of the original title and a picture of the original owner on the bike (that the son told me was from 1964) these and the original plate will also be included in the purchase. I have ridden the bike for the last 2 years and it always starts and runs well. This is not a perfect restored bike, it is however one of the more original Dreams I have ever seen. I have a reasonable (I think) reserve on the bike and will gladly keep it if I dont get the reserve. As I said this bike is not perfect but is a close to original survivor that will only go up in value if cared for. I hate to sell but I have 2 other Dreams and am running out of space. I also like to ride and I feel like I am doing something wrong by adding more miles to this very low mile example. Delivery will be totally the responsibility of the buyer. I will want a $500 deposit within 5 days and the balance before shipping. Cashiers checks would be preferred. (This is a relisting, It didnt sell last time as the reserve was missed by a few hundred dollars, the miles have changed from the speedometer picture as I could not resist taking it for a ride last week) Thanks and happy bidding!
