Also 1968 was the last year Chrysler would ever manufacture an Imperial convertible. This car is a nice unrestored original example of a full size mid-sixties upscale luxury classic convertible. A super cruising car powered by the legendary Chrysler 440 4 barrel V8. Based on the condition this number appears correct however due to the age of the car, I have no way to absolutely verify the mileage. I looked for a long time for an Imperial convertible and I purchased this car because it was original running and driving car, complete, with virtually no rust. This is a very cool car to drive – a real head turner. There are very few clean unmolested examples of 1968 Imperial convertible coupes remaining. A great investment you can also drive and enjoy. This car would also be an easy restoration and worth big bucks when complete. The car could use a good professional paint job. The current paint looks acceptable from a distance but has several imperfections (i.e. runs, nicks, minor fading). This car would look fantastic with fresh paint. The rear bumper is in need of re-plating. The Factory AC system was disconnected when I bought the car. The parts go with the car but compressor and pluming parts need to be re-mounted on the engine and the system re-charged. The brakes should be looked over by a professional mechanic. There is a minor fluid leak in one of the front calipers. The dash pad is cracked. The rear glass window needs to be installed. Terms of SaleThe winning bidder of this auction is entering into a legal and binding contract to purchase the above described vehicle as per standard eBay Motors rules.
