For sale is a 1974 honda cb 550 project. I bought this bike in running condition. I pulled the carbs and cleaned them. I put them back on the bike and it ran great. No stumbles, idled perfect. I bought the bike to build a cafe racer styled bike. As you can see from the picture I have a pretty good start in that direction. The bike has sat in the condition it is in for two years and I haven't touched it. I have lost interest in it and would like to sell it. The bike doesn't currently run, I don't have power to the starter, not really sure why. I am sure it is something simple but I don't have the time to play around with it. So if you would like to finish this build here is what you will get in this auction: the bike and engine in the pictures, side panel tabs have been cut off, along with other misc.tabs, the engine cases have been polished, Clubman bars,electronics have been moved to under the seat, seat pan has been welded in, fiberglass seat pan, new small profile battery to fit under the seat, new rear set pegs(not installed) frame still has original foot peg mounts, 4 new pod filters, new 4 into 1 exhaust, new chrome headlight brackets. Also included is a 1976 honda cb 550 I bought for spare parts. I have no title for this bike. I stripped it to the frame and kept anything that was good on it. The complete engine, as seen in the pictures, is in a box. I also have the carbs, a good stock seat, another gas tank (brown), speedometer and tach, all the electronic, coils, shop manual and assorted small stuff . see pictures I have set a reasonable reserve on this auction. Whoever gets it will be getting a great start on a cafe racer. I will answer all question to the best of my ability. No delivery, buyer is responsible for pick up.
