Vehicle Detail

This Cobra is best enjoyed at night. It slips in and out of the darkness like a shadow. There is a deep rumble that is not common to regular mustangs. This car moves out like none other and the side view becomes a blur. I've been friends with this machine for almost ten years. A friend of mine was caretaker for 3 years before I re-kindled the flame. I drove long and hard to get this anniversary rim set. It's nearly flawless. The tires are nearly 7 years old which should let you know this car had been babied. I was in a tough time having just made my first real estate purchase and was back pedaling in debt. My neighbors ran a high end body shop and were so happy I resuscitated a blighted property they became my close friends. As an avid car guy I began visiting their body shop having them do odds and ends and smog checks. After a year, I decided to have them fix up a car for me. We chose a Mustang Cobra at Co-part and we all huddled around for auction to count down. Many men bid and at the time we paid very good money for the Cobra project. I had checked it out at the yard and realized there was such minor damage I had an advantage over all the other bidders that were just viewing it online. Needless to say, we won the auction and bought two fenders, a hood and a nose piece. It seemed like forever to get it fixed. In reality it was 30 days and this car has served me so well. I've put in a transmission, 2 water pumps, countless oil changes, K&N air filter (have the original) and the beautiful 10th anniversary rim set. I have a California salvage title in my name and the clock says 151,000 miles. She still runs hard as hell and starts on the first click. This is one you could drive home with confidence. The pictures show all the damage I know of if you look closely. The little rust spots around the K&N filter are damage from the light accident. I have had many good times in this car. Once a tourist called the cops on me because I swerved around them on the twisties of Mount Tam. The cops pulled me over in the middle of Mill Valley and made a scene. I told them right back, "You're gonna pull me over because some tourist was stalled out in a VW at Four Corners?" They let me go with a warning. Once a friend commented he had never driven so far, so fast in his life. Another friend who scorns hot cars never said another word after we returned from Tahoe in 2.5 hours flat. Once Jeff Price pulled up to me in his 427 Malibu and did a little burn out in the parking lot at the big party. I never do doughnuts in this car, scouts honor, but that day I roasted his Chevy with molten rubber. My friend said they had never heard the Cobra go next level before as it had let out a mighty roar. I've owned many Mustangs over 50 by now, Boss, Saleen, Special Service. This is the only one that stuck around. It's just that great of a ride. I'm ready to pass it on. Have the summer of your life with some sweet ragtop from CarsandDogs1970. Will ship anywhere. Fly-ins OK.
