This Caprice Wagon is in mint condition , it like it's been in a time warp, this is a estate item bought from the surviving son , after his mother pass away 14 years ago the man had his garage bumped out in order to keep this in a controlled enviroment a/c and heat. It is truly a 1 owner with supporting docs. This was last registered in 1999 , he kept good gas in it and drove it around the block every month to keep fluids moving. I have made some finds in my old life but never one as clean as this auto that is some 36 years old. The father a retired Air force colonel had the local Chevy dealer install a new Goodwrench 350 long block engine installed only because he went over 100k miles and thought he should. The son says it only has had 1 oil change since the engine was installed. The body on this beauty is nearly perfect if you look hard you can see a few dings in the original woodgrain but hard to see. The paint is very good with no scratches or rust anywhere. I had the nose painted to take care a a few chips, the woodgrain is in great shape, I did however give it a brown wax job to sharpen it up a bit. The interior is just pristine for a car of this age, no derogs at all, carpet will clean up like a new car, the dash does have a crack but I have an appointment to repair it from the best vinyl guy around next week. The dash face area is just like a new car , it's like they had gloves on all the time no wear whatsoever. The pictures of the interior is how I got it ( not detailed yet) clean huh. I need to have the cruise control looked at it seems to be inop but haven't checked it out yet but will, the air conditioning has been changed to the new r23 system and blows cold. The tires are very good but not new. The wagon comes with cruise, tilt wheel, power door locks , am/fm stock radio, the clock does not work. That pretty much sums it up on this wagon just imagine a couple year old car and that's what it feels and drives like. I do have many more detailed pictures available just give me a call. I do not do second chance offers and have placed a very low reserve on this because I like to sell on this auction, I do sell on a as is basis so if you have question please ask first, I welcome inspections and will go out of my way if needed (reasonable distance) before auction ends not after. I know people in the auto transport business and will help out anyway I can if needed, also will airport pickup as this wagon will drive anywhere you are. On Jul-05-13 at 20:19:53 PDT, seller added the following information: Update the air conditioner compressor started to rattle a bit so I decided to replace with an new unit along with the dryer and some other small parts in a Auto Zone kit, it will cost me about $ 400.00 total so I am not going to do the cruise control ( fuses ?) and dash repair. I also am dropping the reserve to insure it sells , this is one that is not going to come by very often. Happy bidding there will be a winner.
