All original accept for some paint work and engine. Prior to their ownership an early XK-E 3.8 engine with 3 carbs was installed. Vehicle has never been in an accident, all original sheet metal is in place. Vehicle runs and drives, transmission shifts smooth, rear is quiet, and brakes are good. Frame is solid. A ralley clock was installed at some point and is still in place on left side of the dash. On Jun-29-13 at 14:23:41 PDT, seller added the following information: Some have asked for pictures of the tag on the firewall. I tried to take a few today but my camera will not focus in on it for some reason. So here is some other info on the car. This info below is from the owner. Please if you are interested call him. Chassis # S-677646 Body # P-1649 Engine # W-9167-8S Engine is a "GOLD" head 3 carb E-Type Probably a 1962 or 1963 Transmission # JL-17632 On Jun-30-13 at 09:37:16 PDT, seller added the following information: Some more information I received from a gentleman ... Thank you Charles! Yes, they are the most rare of all XK's produced. The 120 DHC was built from Jan. 1953 until Aug. 1954.. a total of twenty months. The DHC was produced in both Right Hand Drive (RHD) and Left Hand Drive (LHD) with 294 units in RHD and 1471 in LHD.. a total of 1765, although there were 1767 actual DHC "Chassis" (frames) built. There are questions as to what became of these frames. I am the XK120 DHC Registrar and have confirmed the world-wide existence of four hundred twenty XK120 DHC's (in both LHD & RHD).. slightly less than one-third.. a large percentage in anybody's book. Thanks. Charles Bishop. Texas.
