1959 Cadillac Convertible Series 62 This car was purchased in 1983 and was in almost new condition other than age. At the time the car ran and drove very well with no problems. The car is all original from interior to the paint. When the car was purchaced it was bought from a place called Sam's Inc, it was on consignment for an older couple. The car was then driven to Idaho and parked in the shop with the other cars, from then the car would only come out on the occasional weekends and driven. In 1984 interest was sky high and we had to move to Alaska where things were booming at the time. The car was then driven to a barn, it was parked there from 1984 to 2007. In 2007 the car was moved out of the barn and stored in a garage. I am now selling the car because I do not have the time or space for it anymore. The Cadillac will have to be restored, it has been parked for 29 years. The body is straight with no dents. There is very little rust, and what I mean by that is, what rust there is, it is on the surface. For example (You can see by the pictures.) like on the shifter, on the ash tray, there is a little where the chrome meets the body on the tail fins. You will also notice that there is no carpet in the trunk, that is because there were several families of mice that had made it a home and ate or chewed it up and it had to be pulled out. The trunk has a little rust, it is only on the surface. The pictures of the trunk can be deceiving because the glue that was used was a red almost a rust color. I have included 2 pictures that really show the rust in the trunk. The car has 78758 miles on it. All of the chrome and glass are in great shape. They just basically need to be cleaned and they will shine. All in all the car is in great shape for being parked for 29 years. The car is being sold as is with no warranty.
