Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my 1968 Chevrolet Camaro with a 396 and a M22 Muncie 4 speed. I wish it was a true big block car but, originally it was a small block car with a 4 speed. The car runs and drives but, is a PROJECT car. The car has sat for many years here in the desert, which is the reason there is minimal rust on the car. The car starts right up and has a built 396 that runs very good. The M22 Muncie trans shifts great and has a competition short throw Hurst shifter. These cars are getting harder to find, and I had hopes of a restoration but, that's not gonna happen! The car will be sold to the highest bidder! The car is being relisted due to a non paying bidder, please have your finances in order before you bid, thanks and good luck!! Engine/ Trans: The engine is a built 1972 396. It received a hotter cam, bored .030 with higher compression pistons, and had some head work done. It was built by the previous owner and that was several years ago, and the car has sat since then. The previous owner told me the car had less than 5000 miles on the rebuild before it was parked. I cleaned out the fuel system, new carb, new fuel pump, full tune up, and she fired right up and ran strong!! The car runs with about 60 pounds of oil pressure and it doesn't drop. The engine has a Edelbrock Torker intake, topped off with a new Edelbrock carb. New plugs, wires, distributor top off the ignition system. The car has hooker headers that sound great. The car has Manual Disc brakes, and Manual Steering. I have ran the car VERY hard and she runs nice and cool. The trans is a great shifting Muncie 4 speed, that has a competition Clutch, and a Hurst shifter. Goes right into gear, downshifts are smooth, and she doesn't leak any fluids. The rear end was originally a 12 bolt Posi but, the previous owner switched out to a 10 bolt Posi. I don't know what the gears are, sorry. Interior/ Exterior: The interior is pretty complete overall but, it needs to be redone as the sun has left it's mark. The windows roll up and down in the car, doors shut well, and you have a good base to get started. The exterior is rough, but easily repaired. Needs a new hood, as the hood from the 80's is trashed. The drivers fender has some damage, but the passenger fender is great. The drivers door is good, but the passenger door could use a new door skin. The passenger quarter has some dents but can easily be fixed. The drivers quarter has some dents and the only rust I can find on the car, which is on part of the wheel lip. I have the front bumper, but no rear bumper for the car. The trunk looks great, the roof and rear panel behind the window looks great also. The car is rust free, except over that wheel lip. The floors all look great, inner fenders are great, and the frame is great also. The car was a RS with the hidden headlights but, I am still looking for the box with the grill and headlight parts, so as of now the car may be sold without the doors. The car is being sold " AS IS " due to it's age and condition. The car is a PROJECT car. The winning bidder will be required to pay a $1000 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of winning the car. The deposit must be paid through Paypal. The remaining balance is due within 3 days of the auction closing, and that balance can be paid with a cashiers check, bank check, wire transfer or cash in person. If you do not have atleast 5 positive feedback ratings please email me prior to bidding. If I do not receive an email I will cancel your bid! The car is being relisted due to a non paying bidder, Please have your finances in order before you bid.
