Vehicle Detail

Re-listed with new lower Reserve Price ! I purchased this car in 2006 with just 1400 miles on it, and have enjoyed driving it for the past 7 years. Mainly used on open road runs. The car lives in a heated workshop area at my house, and has never been run in winter (snow / salt) conditions, living in hibernation in my shop during winter. A number of non-standard additions have been made to this car both by the previous owner and myself - SLP big mouth full length headers, racing catalytic converters, free flow to rear with Flowmaster free flow mufflers Cold air intake with K&N filter Quick Shift gear change Stick Bluetooth genuine OEM Holden Bluetooth integrated system - version 2.1 (Blackberry ready) Since owning the car it has been carefully maintained with a full oil / filter service done routinely every 4000 miles, using Mobil 1 Synthetic oil, and OEM filters. Only three problems have surfaced in my entire ownership. The original factory fitted Continental Tires just were not up to the job, and were replaced at 2500 miles with Michelin Pilot XGT-Z4 tires that are now 40% worn on the front (6 mm remaining tread) and 50% and on the rear (5 mm remaining tread) and still give great grip in dry and wet conditions. At 31000 miles the differential started to hum. On removal it was discovered that the original CW&P had been replaced with an aftermarket unit, and we deduced that the diff had not been set up properly after replacement of the CW&P. We replaced the entire Diff complete with a unit out of an accident damaged car (front end damage) which had only 18500 recorded miles at the time of being scrapped. In 2011 , the driver’s door was damaged when the car rolled back into the garage door opening (my stupid mistake !). The door was replaced with an OEM door, and the entire LHS of the car professionally repainted with the original exact match factory color. The car is not new, so do not expect absolutely perfect condition, but it is near perfect with the acceptation of the normal small paint chipping to the front bumper and leading edge of the hood, and one 1/4" chip out of the paint on the LHS front of the hood (see photo). This is probably the nicest car I have ever owned, including all of the BMWs, Porsches, Mustangs, and Audis that I have owned. It is an absolute blast to drive, extremely fast, or if driven docilely, and has magnificent handling for a car this powerful. The one thing that never ceases to amaze is its ability to gobble up highway miles at 75 to 85 mph and return 22 to 24 MPG. I'm sad to see it go, but I have totally run out of garage space and find it difficult to justify owning 4 road cars, a large truck, in addition to 7 classic cars between the two of us ! I have a totally free of lean Illinois title for the car. If you are a new user on EBay without or with limited feedback, I reserve the right to delete your bid. If you are such a bidder, please contact me before bidding. If you are a local buyer and wish to inspect the car personally, please contact me to make arrangements. I can assist with transport to any location within the US. PAYMENT – I will require a down payment of $1000 within 24 hours, with the balance paid within 5 business days of successful bid win. Failure to meet these conditions will render a bid null and void !
