Vehicle Detail

2005 ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL EDITION GoldWing 1800 with 117xx miles. They don't get much nicer than this as it looks like new...These bikes were not changed from 2001 to 2010. Purchased exactly a year ago from an older gentleman who purchased it from our local Honda dealer and regarded this as a collectable asset. (?)I bought it from him right here in Naples with exactly 1014 miles on it and took it on a 7800 mile road trip with my 16 yr old son last summer, touring Wisconsin and taking in all the sights on the way there. The bike ran superbly and I changed the oil just before we left and twice during the trip with Standard Repsol oil and factory Honda filters. Shortly after our return and most recently (after proper break in miles) it has been treated with Mobil 1 Synthetic motorcycle lubricant. The bike had and still has no useless bling, although I sought out the best touring accessories according to the Goldwing forum chaps with much more road experience with one of these than I. The list of the add on accessories below were purchased new and installed by qualified motorcycle mechanics of great reputation. The tires are brand new and the wheels have been balanced which in retrospect should have been done before the trip because tires have really become better since the original skins were shod in '05. Battery is a brand new Yuasa OEM unit. I upgraded the sound system by plugging in a bluetooth receiver so you can use your smartphone's mapping technology which is so infinitely advanced over the built in GPS units originally offered on the bike as an option (think back to the old Philco and Zenith AM radios) in comparison. Incidentally you can also play your smartphone's or iPod music and the voice commands will interrupt the music automatically. I have also set up a "Ram Mounting system" (both right and left ball mount gimbals) with a waterproof smartphone box ( box not included as you will want to get one that fits your device anyway) and I had a power plug wired in for your charger or heated clothing. It's a fantastic bike! It rolls down the superslab with no turbulence or effort. you can actually have conversations with your passenger or hear the radio at 80 MPH without blasting out your eardrums in your helmet speakers. When I got caught in a huge rainstorm, I came out on the other side almost dry...and there are heater vents from a radiator duct that blow warm air on you when it gets nippy... They just don't get any better than this for taking trips, especially 2-up...(my son and I ironbutted 1042 miles in one go on the way back from our trip) It gets a consistent 41 miles to the gallon and has a 7 gallon tank. It's never been dropped, ridden in anger, abused, over revved, under revved or missed a shift. I have always used the best lubricants and changed them way before their due as I believe this to be the biggest factor in how long an engine lasts. I just don't ride the way this bike should be ridden. No trips planned and I don't ride two up with the wife as she has her own local classic British bike she likes to ride. Everything else is pure GOLDWING with special 30th Anniversary badges and embroidered saddlebag and trunk floor carpeting. The Anniversary Wing also sported a really nice seat vinyl with a carbon fiber herringbone texture. Think of this as a new bike, as it hasn't seen rain but a couple times. As a low mile bike being properly stored in a climate controlled area, (it has not done thousands of miles by someone who may not care about maintaining it properly or let it sit out) it has nice fresh supple rubber and vinyl material on the seats. The levers have only been squeezed minimal times, the brakes aren't all worn out, and it hasn't sat out in the weather for 7 years like the rest of them. This is the real deal. Look the photos over and see for yourself...THIS BIKE IS LIKE BUYING A 1 YEAR OLD BIKE WITH 11000 miles...Please understand what you are buying and bid accordingly. New BatteryNew Radial Tires (500 miles ago still have hair)CB antenna Mount (Honda)Hopnel Matching adjustable Drivers backrest with storage pocket.Rear hard mounted luggage rack.Bluetooth receiver.Power Plug for chargers, heated clothing etc.Rear Swing out Rider Armrests (she will love you for this)Front Kuryakyn adjustable Rider PegsBikini Bike Cover (for when you have to park it outside)Very nice factory sound system with weather band and quality rear speakers. All hookups and controls for optional CB with antenna already installed (just plug in the trunk mounted unit).Factory Cruise control.Everything works including REVERSE.Owners Manual. Tools and all the original documentation included. The bike is titled in my name and there are no liens or 2nd parties on the title. It's free, clear and ready for transfer...Unlike dealers who ad on a dealer fee over and above the purchase price... There is only one thing I can think of thats wrong with it; The left saddlebag outer latch somehow ceased to function. There is a auxiliary button inside the trunk to release it. I was told this is typical. If you have any questions about it I will be happy to contact you back through eBay's message system.PLEASE DO NOT BID IF YOU HAVE A LOW EBAY SCORE OR DON"T HAVE THE AVAILABLE FUNDS LIKE THE LAST BOZO THAT PURCHASED IT FROM ME.
