It runs great, drives great, looks great, and the attention it gets is extreme! No Disappointments: This Fastback is a great investment and a fun car to drive and enjoy. From the engine compartment to the trunk and everywhere in between, this is a clean car. Please keep in mind that this is a classic car that is over 44 years old, and although I will describe everything as best I can, some small items may have been overlooked. BODY: As you can see from the photos, this Mustang has a great body. It’s also rock solid, with no evidence of rust ANYWHERE! The underside is also solid, with strong frame rails, perfect torque boxes and floor pans. The rear trunk drop panel on the passenger side has a lower patch panel installed. All of the panels on this car are show great fit and are very straight. This car was professionally restored in the 90's. The Mach 1 was repainted the original Candy Apple Red and was cut and buffed to a mirror gloss. The Front and Rear Spoilers were added for that "clean and aggressive" look. The underside is in excellent condition, and I could not detect any rust at all. The doors, trunk and hood all open and shut properly, and all of the glass is good. The driver door glass should be realigned. There is a scrape on the passenger front fender and a scratch on the passenger door (See Photo). There are also very minor chips in the paint on the edges of the doors. The paint is now what I consider to be a very nice older restoration “Weekend Warrior”. This car is not a show car anymore, but would still hold it’s own at the local car show and cruise in. INTERIOR: The interior was professionally restored at the time of the restoration with the original Mach 1 Luxury Black Knitted Vinyl with all new soft trim including: · NEW Dash Pad · NEW Door Panels · NEW Kick Panels · NEW Carpeting · NEW TMI Seat Covers ENGINE / MECHANICS: The engine is a powerful 351 and an automatic transmission. The car starts at the flick of the key and runs strong and smooth. This car has a deep powerful throaty sound that matches the Mach appearance through the headers and Flow Master Series 40 Dual Exhaust. The car tracks straight and brakes straight, has good steering response and a nice ride. The transmission shifts very responsive and smooth. The engine compartment is clean, and maintains its original appearance. Front power disc brakes and rear drum brakes. The power steering makes this car very enjoyable to DRIVE! TRUNK: The trunk area is very clean, detailed, and looks like new. No issues here, the pictures of the car speak for themselves. OVERALL: The car of course gets lots of looks, it's really what I'd call the perfect example of an extremely nice weekend –warrior. What more could you ask for than a True 1969 Mach 1 that came from the factory with a Candy Apple Red exterior and a Luxury Black interior. This CLEAN and MEAN Fastback is sure to please.
