Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 The story on this very nice 1990 Jeep Wagoneer is that I got it with vandalism damage last year. Yellow paint on the outside was the only reason it was being sold. I was surprised when I picked it up that everything seemed to be in working order, it ran great, etc. Anyway, the day after I got it back I was able to get the yellow paint off with some heavy duty aircraft remover. I probably could have flipped it that day for a $5,000 profit, but it ran so well and started so easily that I wanted to keep it for myself. I’ve owned 4 of these Grand Wagoneers and this one is the best running and best working by far. I put in a new battery. I had it tuned up and my mechanic checked everything. Not all is new, but shocks, brakes, belts, hoses, etc. all fine per my mechanic. Everything works including all the window motors, back window, A/C, four wheel drive, lights, cruise control, radio, etc. (2 exceptions are the rear wiper and the rear window defogger. Haven’t had a chance to check completely yet.) Those of you who have owned Grand Wagoneers know that starting with the carburetor can be tough some times. This one always has started for me, normally with just 2 pumps and then turn the key. I can tell you that the others I’ve owned have been much tougher and needed more carb adjustments. This one has never been adjusted by me since it starts so well. There were some rust holes on rear quarters, running board and by the windshield. I have fixed all of those, primed and repainted. Everything below the wood grain has been re-sprayed. Wood grain is in good shape, but if I was keeping it, I’d replace it. A few small areas of surface rust that can be easily fixed. I might fix them before it’s sold if I get the time. There is a newer radio in it with a CD Player and good speakers. I’ve left that in, but also put an original style radio in the back in case you want to convert back. You will notice the very rare cargo area cover that I found in another Jeep and I’m including. These are over $200 to buy new if you can even find them. Also, note the Luxury Premium Upgraded Gold Wheels. These I also took from another Jeep and you will see that these are $350 each refurbished on Team Grand Wagoneer web site ($1400 value here). Tires are in good shape. The classic Metallic Blue Paint has been restored with rubbing compound, buffing and wax. The truth is that I had planned to do a total refurb and recondition on this Jeep and make it something like the Wagonmasters that go for well over $30,000. With the condition of the interior, low miles at 108,000, solid body, no rust underneath, great engine, etc. I think this could be a great head turning driver for years to come. But, over the winter some things changed in our family and we are facing some challengers that are causing us to move from the country where I have room for my toys to a big city where I need to cut back. So, I’ve decided to reluctantly put this beautiful lady up for sale… my prize 1990 Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
