OVERVIEW
I get the pleasure of driving some of the coolest cars in the world on a regular basis, but every so often often a ride passes through my collection that REALLY makes me think about just keeping it for awhile. This magnificent 37' Ford is one of those cars.
Professionaly built, all steel, and loaded with all the extras and upgrades you can ask for, this car has not only proven itself to be a multiple award winning showcar, but a capable and reliable long distance touring machine too!
From front to back and top to bottom, this machine is about as clean, cool, and straight as you could ask for, and it snaps necks like a chicken farmer whenever you drive it.

DESCRIPTION
The outside of this 1937 Ford is the first thing to catch your eye.
A perfect blend of custom mixed Lexus Pearl White and Lexus Burgundy Pearl greets you with what some have said is the "perfect" two-tone paint combination!
Rich, glossy, and mirror-like all the way around, the finish shows just how nice a car can look when you give it a money-is-no-object paint job to chase the show circuit big wigs.
Sure, being almost 10 years old, it does show a handful or two minor blemishes from normal use and wear, but, as the 100 EXTRA LARGE photos below will show you, nothing that takes away from the cars incredible look!
The worst mark on the whole entire car is practically out of sight on the roof, where a golf ball fell from the garage rafters and left a chip that has bubbled lightly. It is just under 1.25" diameter, and I show it in the photos below. It would be easy enough for you to touch up if you wanted to, but you can't even really see it when standing next to the car.
Other than that, and the requisite hairline marks and miniscule stone chips, the car is show ready! Look at the photos below, and especially at the red paint.... it was cloudy when I took the pictures, and the clouds, a palm tree, and even the neighbors van all reflect like a mirror in the finish. Plus, the car has NOT even been detailed by us! Just imagine how fantasic it will look when you take some time to clean it from front to back!!!
The car has been treated to a tastefully done hand pinstriping job in multiple colors which accentuates the lines of the car. From the graceful design on the trunk lid, the Thirty-Seven logo's, the blending of the front hood lines in the side panels, and ending at the V8 on the hood, the striping is Professional grade, looks fantastic, and really adds a touch of class to the car.
The body on this machine is all steel, and that includes the running boards and fenders too! It is super solid, and I have taken a 4"x4" felt covered magnet over the car and it sticks like glue!
The door handles have been shaved, the trunk decked, and the hood nosed as well.
The trunk retains its chrome hinges, and the rear of the car has custom designed cut in tail lamps, hidden back up lights, and an integrated plate frame with lighting as well.
Inside, the trunk is fully finished and lined, and has a full size mini spare, fire extinguisher, and the stereo systems power amplifier all in place, with plenty of room for cleaning supplies and car show chairs.
A power antenna functions with the radio, and tastefull striped sportline mirrors grace each side of the car.
The glass on the car is PERFECT in condition, with no chips, cracks, or laminate issues. The front windshield is a custom made 1-piece unit that looks fantastic on the car! Chrome wipers work to keep it clean on the roadways!
All the glass is tinted to a 50, light smoke grade for Florida, but check your own State laws before driving it too far!
The car rides on COY C5 show chromed rims that are less than 6 months and 500 miles old and show like brand new!
They are sized 18" up front and 20" in the back.
Tires are HANKOOK V12 EVO's and also have less than six months and 500 miles on them. They are in excellent, damage free condition.
Tire size in back is 245/45ZR20, and 225/40ZR18 up front.
Those wheels get bolted to power disc brakes up front, and rear drum brakes, which pull the car down from speed with no excessive fade, modulation, or pulling.
The chassis on the car is mix of custom design and top-of-the-line ordered parts.
A HEIDT'S SuperRide power steering rack sits up front and makes steering a breeze for any driver.
Custom front suspension parts and sway bars combined with a performance leaf spring set out back with performance shocks work to give this car that perfect combination of supple ride and excellent handling that will leave you smiling on the freeway or the twisties.
The chassis is clean, but not mirror ready, thanks to spending its life being driven on Power Tour, an Americruise, and a few times to different Goodguys events around the country where it ALWAYS won something!
Under the hood, a full finished and painted firewall greets you with an easy to see gold pacard showing that the motor was done by the legendary Bob Hartline at Custom Engine Builders in Shreveport, LA. If you are not from the Southeast, you may not be as familiar with him as we are, but he is the go-to guy in this part of the country if you want your show car, street car, race car, or boat to GO FAST!
The prior owner did not remember where his book went with all the receipts and specifications, so I can't share any specifics with you, other than that it is reportedly a GM 383 that has a mild cam, medium sized carb, and a lot of money spent on good components to make it start, run, and perform wonderfully!
With just over 12,000 miles since completed in 2002, the car has seen about 1,100 miles a year of use, and most of those miles are done at long stretches that have taken the car around the Country without issue.
It runs super cool, and even with the A/C on and in our Florida heat and traffic, never jumped over 200, including 20 minutes at a standstill waiting to get on the beach! Usually, it hangs at about 187-190 degrees, and runs cooler than that moving.
There is plenty of chrome and billet dressing up the cars looks department under the hood, and it shows wonderfully even though the car has NOT been detailed yet.
It starts with ease, idles cleanly and smoothly, and is ready to drive whenever you are. Power comes on smooth and strong, and the car shifts easily thanks to the TH350 transmission was brand new back in 2002. No shift kit means easy shifts up or down, and no jerking you or your passengers heads when pulling away from a red light.
Yes, it WILL still squawk the tires, if that's what you are into, but it was purpose built to be at home on the highways, and to be a reliable and easy to maintain vehicle too.
The custom made and balanced driveshaft connects to the smoothed GM rear with 3.42 gearing that gives you oomph off the line, and highway friendly rpm's on the road.
A custom fabricated exhaust gives the car its sweet mellow rumble, but is not so loud it drives you crazy on a road trip.
The car feels fantastic at highway speeds, and is super friendly around town too thanks to the ultra easy power steering unit.
Inside the car, the interior is a stunning mixture of black and red that looks fantastic, and still shows practically like new!
A front bench seat provides a perfect spot for driver and passenger to relax, and the front armrest flips up to provide seating for one more in front.
Both seats flip forward and have map pocket storage in back. There are two seat belt unit up front, and two in the back as well.
The rear seat is a custom bench with a custom designed center rail that mimics the armrest up front, and splits the rear seats into two areas.
The seats are clean, undamaged, and have no tears, seam pulls, rips, or stains.
Carpeting in the car was laid over a base of sound deadening material, and is in great condition, with no damage, and only the faintest signs of use because it has not been detailed yet.
Door panels are in great condition, and house arm rest pads, power window switches, and a tweeter for the stereo.
The door lock toppers are the door release handles, and they work great! A hidden outside release will be shared with the new owner, and it works with or without battery power so you'll never get stranded.
The dash is a custom designed padded leather unit that is in fantastic condition, and houses a set of FORD Brass Vintage Series gauges for the following:

TACHOMETER
WATER TEMP
OIL PRESSURE
BATTERY LEVEL
FUEL LEVEL
In addition, 4 individual air conditioning vents are in the dash along with the Vintage Air Gen II control panel.
A Kenwood KDC-MP532U head unit supplies the ability to listen to AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA/USB/Iphone and is HD RADIO ready too!
Connected to the trunk mounted power amp, and fed throughout the cabin to multiple hidden and visible speakers, the stereo sounds FANTASTIC!!!! Plus, the head unit has a detachable face to avert any thievery at the car shows!
The car has functional door courtesy lights, dual under dash lights, and a dome light.
A GM tilt column was smoothed and painted to match, and is is equipped with a billet tilt arm, billet shift arm, and functional cruise control.
It is topped with a LECARRA leather wrapped 3-spoke chrome steering wheel with FORD logo horn button.
A floor mounted LOKAR chrome E-Brake handle with leather boot functions as well.
Rounding things out is the vintage style round FORD brake pedal, and Billet Specialties aluminum gas pedal.
All of the power windows function, all of the interior lights and dash lights work, and everything from the horn to the headlamps and wipers to stereo does what it should.
The air conditioning is ICE COLD, and I have not had to keep it above the first setting for long even with our current 90 degree weather here in Florida!
The car was built to be an award winning show car, then turned into a long haul show car, and spent the past few years with its prior owner who was an ASE Certified Mechanic that owns one of the largest non-franchised garages in Florida. It is ready to rock, roll, and ride wherever you want to take it, and I would not hesitate for one second to fly in and drive it home anywhere in the lower 48!
It fits everyone from our office manager who is 5'3" and 100 pounds all the way to my friend Jeff who is 6'3" and 270, so chances are it will fit YOU just fine!
The car needs absolutely NOTHING, and has been safety checked, so it is ready to go whenever you are.
It comes with one key, a custom car cover, and a free and clear FLORIDA title as a 1937 FORD with a VIN that matches the VIN plate on the car.
