Vehicle Detail

Howdy folks, Up for auction is my 2008 Interceptor with ABS. I picked up the bike last Fall after spending half the Summer on a Ducati 999 then switching to a Honda RC51. I love my Ducatis, but I have to say, I was impressed by how the RC was put together. The RC had around 20K miles on it and I figured I'd try and sell her and find one with a set of Heli bars and some lower miles. I sold her on Ebay and started scouring all the outlets to find one with lower miles. I kept seeing this Interceptor listed and couldn't help but get interested. The bike was a salvage title, but had been almost completely put back together by a friend of the owner in preparation for the enhanced inspection PA requires to obtain a Reconstructed or R title. I went over, checked her out, and bought her on impulse after rationalizing it by saying to myself "It's just an RC with a couple of more cylinders and a more comfortable seat". The bike had been laid over on its right side and suffered cosmetic damage to the fairings, mirrors, clutch cover and bar ends. The previous owner had picked up a set of Emgo replacement mirrors, aftermarket fairings, a set of Scorpion slip on pipes and various OEM Honda nuts and bolts. Once I got home I spent the Winter stripping the bike and ordering all the parts needed to get it put completely back together so I could get the R title in the Spring. I pulled off the aftermarket fairing kit and ordered a Repsol replica kit as well as a Zero Gravity windscreen, a set of Renthal grips, and a set of OEM bar ends. I finished the project a few weeks ago and completed the paperwork and thorough enhanced inspection in order to get the bike titled, registered, and on the road. I've been riding the bike non stop since getting it on the road and I have to say....I love it. The only reason I'm selling it is because I put a ridiculous bid in on a RSV 1000R on Ebay this Winter and ended up winning it. One of the bikes has to go and the RSV is set up for track days, which I'd like to try out this Summer. The tires on the VFR are Michelins and were installed by the previous owner prior to my purchase. I'd estimate that the tires have a little over 300 miles on them. The fairing kit was installed by myself and with a little work I think it turned out awesome. The bike has been serviced with Honda filters and oil and has a new air filter. No error codes an the linked ABS is absolutely incredible. The VTEC is absolutely ridiculous at around 7K RPM. When I first got on the bike and started tooling around I wasn't that impressed with the power of the V Four.....until the VTEC opened up and let her breathe. With the VTEC opened up and the bike spun up to around 9K RPM it sounds just like a Moto GP bike with the Scorpion exhaust. I know a lot of VFR owners intstall the Power Commanders to eek out a little more performance and to even out when the VTEC kicks in. I did the flapper mod and the pair valve delete to help ease the transition when the last four valves open up and to keep the air/fuel ratio from fattening up too much because of the emissions gear. Each of the mods can be reversed in about fifteen minutes. . The ONLY damage I could find on the bike manifests itself on the clutch cover in the form of a scrape that could be painted over with OEM case paint. The frame, forks, wheels, and subframe were completely untouched. The bike comes with a pile of spare parts as well as a solo seat cowl that goes along with the original fairing kit. The bike comes with a complete set of black fairings, another windshield, as well as a spare fuel tank I purchased when I was going to have a custom Castrol paint job done. If you have any questions, drop me a line and I'll sort you out. Thanks for looking. I've been selling bikes on Ebay for years and have always had great luck. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
