Vehicle Detail

For sale is a project car for restoration or resto-rodding. I've had the car for over 20 years, during which time it has been stored inside. I have most of the hard parts needed to finish it as a stock auto, including fenders, grill, bumpers, good glass, and most of the stainless trim, except for some of the door side trim. The previous owner had started a stock restoration, and completed the engine, engine compartment, and undercarriage. I also have several new parts that go with the car. As far as I can tell, the floors are solid except for a small rust through in the spare tire well. The rocker panels are shot, but there are new replacement rocker panels that go with the car. I started the car about ten years ago, but t hasn't been started since. The engine turns freely so it isn't seized up. The previous owner said he overhauled the flathead motor (I have no reason to doubt this), but I have no Idea what shape its in having sat for all these years. I cleaned and lined the gas tank, and cleaned out the fuel lines, but they would have to be reinstalled. Buyer would at least need a battery, a carb kit and a fuel pump kit or install an electric fuel pump to see if it will run. I also needs water pump gaskets. The prior owner also painted the firewall a metallic maroon ( a Lincoln color), as well as the dash and interior window trim. (The original color was Hawaiian Bronze) Interior needs to be redone, but the seats are all there and the springs are in good condition. Door panels are good for templates, or could be recovered. There is rust in the rear quarter panels, mostly at the very back, near where the quarter panel and trunk seam is, on both sides. Could be fixed or use replacement body panels. There are a few other dings and small dents that need to be taken care of, but nothing major. Rear brake master cylinders need to be replaced, and I have those. The mileage shown (108,192) may or may not be accurate. That's what the odometer reads, but I can't warranty that as actual. This car is sold as is where is, with no warranty or guarantees. I've tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my ability. Buyer is responsible for picking it up, or arranging to have it picked up within a reasonable time after the close of the auction (to be determined by the successful bidder and the seller at the end of the sale). The buyer is also responsible for all pickup, shipping, and delivery charges from where the care is located. Look over the pictures carefully before you bid. please note that the exterior pictures are dated, but the car is essentially as shown in the photos. All the other pics are recent. If you have any questions, use the contact the seller feature of E-Bay I cannot stress enough that this is a project car and carries with it no warranties or guarantees whatsoever.
