2001 Chevy Suburban LS 1500 4x4 – Mechanic’s Special with NO RESERVE Four wheel drive works Black with light tan leather interior Driver and front passenger seat – 4 way power 8 passengers with 2nd row bench and 3rd row seat Sunroof (works) and roof rack Tinted privacy glass AM/FM with single CD Front and rear HVAC Truck has 147,186+ miles (bought with 35,000 miles in 2004) Exterior has scuffs and scratches typical with a truck this age This truck had been my daily driver for 5 years, but since I got a company car, it has mostly been driven on weekends over the last 4 years. Due to unexpected financial struggles, I have been unable to maintain the truck over the last 4 years. The truck has been on many long distance trips around the eastern US during the time that I’ve owned it and the ride is excellent. It averaged 16-18 mpg on those trips (once hitting 20 mpg!). The following items need attention: 1. A/C has leak – was ice cold then stopped suddenly - recharge lasts one week. 2. Needs 4 new tires 3. Both front seats have normal wear in the leather with typical cracks on sides of bottom cushions. 4. Truck would look almost new with professional detail inside and out 5. Left rear brake line just replaced, other three need to be replaced 6. Engine blows blue/black/gray smoke 1 out of every 3 cold starts 7. Service Engine Light flashing – Computer reads “Cylinder 5 misfire” – confirmed spark, but no compression. Current mileage is 12 mpg since this happened, also adding 1 quart of oil every 200-300 miles. I am still driving the truck, but not often or far as advised by shop. 8. ABC light on – both front sensors need to be replaced – I pulled fuse so that ABS would not activate with every stop. Fuse also operates cruise control and two mode button – both of which work fine when fuse is in. Recall was performed on both front ABS and dealer advised that they failed again, but free recall fix is only performed once. 9. Right side mirror has broken glass and plastic housing 10. Rear defroster and mirror defrosters not working 11. Windshield is cracked from a rock 12. Windshield washer tank is broken 13. Radio and HVAC dash lights do not work 14. HVAC front fan switch only operates on speeds 3-5 15. Turn signal stalk will need to be replaced. On occasion, the turn signal sound indicator comes on and you think the turn signal is on when it is not. 16. Radio speaker – right front passenger door needs replacing Truck is being sold AS IS with NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. I have shared everything that is wrong with the truck, so please bid knowing that the truck has issues and is far from perfect.
