Vehicle Detail

CURRENTLY NOT RUNNING PROPERLY, BUT I AM WORKING ON THAT. I have owned this bike (1981 CB750C) for over 20 years. It has 13k miles on it, and is a great bike. I have always had it on the road for that time (meaning, fresh gas, fresh oil, filters, tires, etc.) until 2009. I bought a larger cruiser and this bike is taking up valuable space in my small garage. Hate to see it go, but go it must. I wanted to get this bike running again last year as I knew it would sell a lot faster of course. I had the carburetors professionally cleaned and rebuilt last year, bought a new battery, installed new carburetor to engine manifolds, and ordered new clutch disks before I bought the other bike. I am putting it up for sale AS IS, but do reserve the right to get it running before this posting ends. So what is wrong? Bike is a 30 year old bike, and will need someone who has some mechanical ability and time to tinker. I think I might have bumped one of the coils when reinstalling gas tank after putting carbs on - hitting on 1&3, not 2&4. Never had a firing problem before - so anticipating a quick fix. Rear tire bead does not seal, and after paying a dealer to seal it, and that fail too, I just ordered a tube for that today. I will update this description as I work on it over the weekend. Small ding in tank, and some guy who came out to look at it last week broke the tank cap sliding chrome key cover (idiot). Has both original side covers and tank. Extras include: +Jardin 2-into-1 side cut chrome pipes (original pipes weighed a ton, and rusted out) +relatively new o-ring chain +rebuilt front forks +recovered seat +good rubber front and back Also included are all the "extra" parts I have assembled in 20 years, including: +spare rear shocks +clutch disks - new in box for future repair (not needed at present) +spare starter +spare rear brake assembly Please email me your questions.
