Vehicle Detail
mysticmeadows33 Store 1977 Firebird Esprit 1977 Firebird Espirit turned Trans Am! This car is PA inspected until September 2013. It is in good condition and has been slowly making its way back to roadworthy service for the past eight years. It has been under roof and on a concrete floor since the first day it sat. This car is meant to be driven and is not in show condition. It has a clean 1977 branded PA title, though ebay doesn’t recognize the VIN. It is 2T87Y7N104817. Engine & Drivetrain: -Balanced and blueprinted 1969 Pontiac 350 (Built by a local professional in the Elizabethtown area of PA). -Appx. 10K miles on the rebuild -Mild cam -Edelbrock 600 cfm carb -Edelbrock aluminum intake -Aftermarket plugs and wires -Rebuilt TH350 auto transmission -Posi rear -Aftermarket dual exhaust -Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and aftermarket cats -Rebuilt starter -Factory A/C Body/Exterior: - No known patching on doors, hood, bumper, front fenders or floorboards. Patches on both rear quarters, the lower left and right side of each one, patch on drivers side of trunk, patch on driver’s rear inner fender well, some rust on both lower inner part of the doors. See pictures. -The rear leaf springs and all four shocks were replaced before the car sat: they have less than 10K miles on them. -Good condition front tires and nearly new rear tires -New outer headlights and high beam switch -New windshield Interior: -New headliner -New carpeting -Grant signature series mahogany steering wheel -New rear speakers -Manual windows and door locks -Vinyl is in good shape with very little tearing -Front driver’s seat is a passenger seat -There are a couple cracks in the dash and center console This car could use: -Compressor for A/C (a second one is included with the sale) -Door and window seals Other stuff: -Please note that the patch on the driver’s inner fender well comes close to the seat belt bolt. I would not use the driver’s rear seat to hold any person, adult or child, unless this was fixed correctly. -As of 5/4/13, the speedometer cable began jumping all over and then stopped working. I have narrowed it down to the gear in the transmission and plan to replace it when I have time. -Since this car is from the 70s, please expect very minor things to crop up. I have been driving it to work when I can to try to iron out any remaining bugs, but things do happen with old vehicles that sit, no matter how good the rebuild. -I have a few odds and ends late 70s Firebird parts that can be worked into the purchase. Thanks for looking!
