FOR SALE is my 1974 Triumph Spitfire, with ELECTRIC OVERDRIVE, that appears to be pretty much an original car. After purchasing the vehicle we needed only to replace the alternator and battery. The car runs and drives great. The clutch is strong, the transmission shifts smoothly and the overdrive works as it should. According to the sticker, the last time the oil was changed was August 13, 2002 and the mileage at that time was approximately 63, 400. The odometer currently reads 64,668 so it looks as though the car has been driven only about 1,270 miles in the last eleven yrs. Even though the car looks to have only original miles, the title says "mileage discrepancy" so buy and bid accordingly. The body is very solid (see pics) and even though there's evidence of a minor re-paint, it doesn't appear that there's been any major body repair and rust, if any, is very minimal. The paid is not flawless, but it has nice luster and the chrome is bright and shiny. The cover for the top needs to be replaced, the Tonneau has some tears and the R/F Wheel Trim Ring is missing. This is not a perfect vehicle and likewise I'm not asking $10-15K. But for the reserve, it is a great car and should make someone a great daily driver or weekend cruiser for the price of a new cover for the top. All hardware and the old top are attached to the car. There are no known mechanical issues and it looks and drives great. However it is being sold ABSOLUTELY AS-IS WITH NO WARRANTY OR FITNESS OF PURPOSE OR MERCANTABILITY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED.
