Vehicle Detail
Description You are bidding on a very clean, rare and collectible 1969 Thunderbird Landau. This car is an unmolested factory original example of the classic mid to late 1960’s “Glamour” Thunderbird coupe. A super cruising car powered by the very potent 4 barrel 429 Ford V8. Vehicle Features • Factory Original 1969 Thunderbird “Landau” Coupe • Exterior Color Code “H” Diamond Green) (Rare Factory color) • Interior Color “2GA” Dark Green (Factory color) • Factory Green Landau Top is in very nice original condition (no cracks, sun fading, etc.) • Tilt Steering Wheel • Power Windows, and Door Locks • Power Driver’s seat option • Factory Concealed Headlights • Factory AM “8 track” radio (rare option!!!) • Factory Air Conditioning • Original 69 T-Bird Wheelcovers • All factory original body panels (Exceptionally clean, straight body lines) • Underside and frame exceptionally clean (No previous accident history) • 100% Rust Free • 4 Barrel Autolite carb (Fresh re-build) • Factory original 429 “Thunderjet” V8 engine (runs excellent) • Ford C6 Transmission Shifts Smooth • Factory 4-Barrel Ford “Autolite 4300” Carburetor (freshly re-built). Factory air cleaner assembly • Dual Exhaust – sounds great cruising down the road • Very nice straight clean bumpers and chrome trim • Power Disc Brakes (Recent brake job including NOS rotors) • Rare Car - Of the 49,272 cars built in 1969, only 16,769 (34%) of all 1969 Thunderbirds were built with the optional and highly desirable Front Bucket Seats and Center Console. This T-Bird is very clean and the 20,421 mileage number showing on the odometer appears correct however due to the age of the car, I have no way to absolutely verify the mileage. This car is super, super clean. The car retains almost all its original Wixom, MI assembly line parts. The brakes, steering, engine/power train and all other mechanical components are in excellent condition. Freshly rebuilt Autolite carb and new fuel tank. This T-Bird drives great - just like it was 1969. This is a very cool car to drive – a real head turner. There are very few clean unmolested examples of 1969 2 door Thunderbird Landau coupes remaining. A great investment you can also drive and enjoy. NADA Old Car Price Guide values 1969 T-Bird Landau's between $11,000 - $16,000. If you plan to have a buyer’s inspection, please be sure to inspect the vehicle prior to the end of auction. As is the rule for any auction post sale is not the time to begin to arrange for an inspection. Buyer is responsible for any inspection charges and fees. Car is being offered in "As Is" condition. No warranties or representations are made as to the condition of this car. This is a very well preserved 43 year-old vehicle but it is not a new car. Each individual prospective buyer’s standards for evaluation will differ. More Historical Background on the 1969 Ford Thunderbird - http://automotivemileposts.com/tbird1969selections.shtml a
