Vehicle Detail
Up for NO RESERVE auction is a 1979 Pace Car Mustang. It is as original as any 79 mustang you will find. The only things changed are maintenance/ tune up items. I have a deluxe Marti Report that is framed and matted ($230 value), the original 1979 paper plate off the car, the build sheet, some new fuel parts and some NOS decals I have been setting aside. The car runs and drives real nice, has a brand new oil change, and I just replaced the pan gasket and filter on the c4 (so it has all new fluid also). I have new pins and bushings in the packages. I have driven the car about 150 miles in the last 6-7 weeks and enjoyed every minute of it. Heat works great, along with the radio and all the lights. If you happened to be at AutoFair in the Charlotte Motor Speedway this spring you may have seen the car. It was on display there with my car club. I have 2 other foxbodies and this one really just sits around. Its time to move it along to someone who really wants a all original, unabused fox. This is car #00083 out of the 10,478 that were produced Here's things that it could use. Im going to be overly anal here. The headliner is not ripped, but is starting to fall down. The fuel sending unit is not working but I have another one that I got with the car. It leaks fuel if you put more than 10 gallons or so in (I have new seals for where the pick up comes out the bottom of the tank), the metric TRX tires have lots of tread but are a little square from sitting around so much. The underhood insulation is falling down a little. The exterior of the car has no major damage. All the original decals are there and for being 34 years old it looks nice. It wouldnt hurt to rebuild the carb , however it starts and runs fine as is. The interior is in VERY good condition, no rips in the factory Recaro's, no cracks in the dash, all the guages work (even the info center) etc. Sunroof doesnt leak. Spare tire is still in the factory spot too. Under the car is VERY clean also. Still has the factory exhaust, the valve covers still have all the factory markings. Please email me with any questions. The car is for sale locally also so it may sell at any time.
