Scroll Down for photos and video Hi/story: A few weeks ago,while I was participating at the Targa California vintage rally I was offered to buy a rare 67 123GT canadian model in Sonoma,CA.Needless to say I took the GT,but Kathy (owner of the GT) told me that her father in law has a dismantler/wrecking yard and he happened to have a really nice 1800S,which he refuses to crush or part out.Few days later and after some emailing back and forth with Jim I got the car.Im a busy guy with several cars in process of restoration,but I just couldnt pass on this.Im sure plenty of you car guys can relate and agree with me. I found out from Jim that the owner passed away and his family sent his "old junk volvo" to the wrecking yard. Paint shines nice and its not faded Chrome and trim all present and shiny. Cool bullet style chrome mirrors Original wheels with original hubcaps,cant get any better than this.Decent tires,used but no cracks Good rubber seal front and rear windshield,no cracking still fresh No rust on the critical areas such as under gas lid,under headlights,floor boards,frame rails,jacking points . No signs of accidents,panels line up nicely. Mechanical: The motor runs great and revs freely Good compression on all 4 cylinders,150 and above New fuel lines,fuel filter Synced carbs Refinished the valve cover New valve cover hardware New valve cover gasket Replaced the brakes and the brake booster,brakes work good now. The suspension is tight,shocks were changed not to long ago. New battery New radiator New thermostat New upper and lower radiator hoses New plugs,wire,distributor cap,rotor,condenser Fresh oil change Clutch works good Transmission shifts smoothly,overdrive works Differential was resealed and serviced Electrical: All the lights work Windshield wiper works Fan works great ,2 speed Turn signals work Over drive works Gauges work with the exception of the clock Nice Blaupunkt casette player unit Ignition lock was busted so I got a new one,original NOS part. Interior: The interior is new,and while its not original looks great and period correct. New gray cloth upholstery on front and back seats New black carpet New black headliner New sun visors New upper and lower dash,no cracks Wooden inserts on dash,versus the original aluminium one Original 2 spoke steering wheel New doorcards Window regulators work Doors lock The car runs and drives great.Supension is tight and the steering is precise.No play in the steering box. Overall this is a great early 1800S that you can drive anywhere.Rust free california car. Car is sold with official bill of sale.
