Vehicle Detail

Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Thank you for looking at our beautiful 1977 Cadillac coupe DeVille. This car was purchased new by R. Olin Ross. He owned the car until he died about 5 years ago and it went to his uncle who recently passed away. This has always been a one-family owned car kept in the garage, and obviously used very little. For the last 6 years, the car was only driven on the 4th of July for the parade they had in their small town. I have the original bill of sale, which is in the Photobucket. There are 206 pictures in the Photobucket, so you will be able to view virtually every angle of the vehicle. Most of the pictures were taken in the shade, and some of them were taken in the sun, which turns the car into a little bit of a different shade of tan. This is an all-original car which includes interior, all of the major mechanical parts (just maintenance has been done mechanically), and the body is original except I replaced both plastic pieces by the rear taillights. One was cracked and so I had a new set put on, and after 36 years they deserve it. On the front right fender approximately 6 inches behind the turn signal light had a small crease that was about 5 inches long, probably from pulling it out of the garage and I had that fixed at the same time that I had the plastic pieces in the back fixed. It really wasn’t very noticeable, but I wanted the car to as perfect as it could be for the new owner. I have the original owner’s manual, that it’s so clean that it looks as if it hasn’t been opened in over 36 years. This was just a car that was purchased and only driven 700 miles a year on average for 36 years. This is amazingly low mileage but the car shows very little wear and tear. When the clean-up man was cleaning the car, he could not believe how clean the car was as he was cleaning the interior, the exterior, the motor and the truck and finally when he asked how many miles were on the car I told him 26,000 and he said “Wow. Now I know why it’s such a nice car!” When you look at the pictures of the motor you can see the original paint is still in great shape on the valve cover gaskets, so there hasn’t been a lot of heat to wear the paint off. I invite you to stop out, check it out and drive it. The only repairs that it’s going to need (and these are not repairs that need to be done anywhere in the near future unless you decide to), are the muffler with the small hole and the heat and air conditioner blower which is good but in the climate control brain where it clicks to turn the blower motor on is bad (both shown in pictures). This can be as simple as a fuse or a fusible link that has to be put back through the system. I’m not a mechanic, I’m not trying to fix it, but it’s a simple fix. I believe that everything on the car works, and to see this car in person is just stunning. This would be a great car for a winter car in a nice climate because the color of the car is light and it makes you feel good getting in. It’s not a dark, dingy color that would be flashy. The antenna for the radio does work properly and I am selling this car in a no reserve auction and so if you are the last highest bidder when the auction ends the car is yours. I am also selling the car as-is with no warranty because there is no way that I can offer any type of warranty on a 36 year old car. Please take the time if you can to stop by and drive it if this is a car that you would really like to buy. You could also send a local mechanic over to inspect it for you. I want you to be happy with the purchase of my car and I’m sure you will be. I would like the car paid for within 3 days of auction ending wither by cash or wire transfer, and, if possible, if you’re having the car shipped try to get it picked up within a week or so. I will assist your shipper with pickup but I will not pay to ship your car. If you have any questions please call Lou at 216-210-8488. Thank you and good luck to all bidders.
