This is a very low mileage 2 owner gold wing that is in very good to excellent condition. I personally rate this as an 8.5 out of 10 and have had a number of my friends say that it is a 9 or 9.5 considering that it is 25 years old, but I'll stick with the 8.5 rating myself. The original owner bought it for touring with his wife and they enjoyed a number of great adventures on this bike. The Mrs. actually told me that she was not that into the "motorcycle thing" but that she enjoyed the time spent on the back of the bike by grabbing a book and reading it while they were on the highway! It's true that Goldwings are very smooth, but reading a book on the back is something I never heard before! The bike was very well maintained before I got it with all of the fluids changed annually and the engine oil every 3,000 miles as I was told by the original owner. I believe him as he actually gave me 2 set of plugs, 3 oil filters and fluids. Well, all good things do come to an end and the end of the original owners time with this bike was back in the late 90's when he dropped it on it's ride side while riding. There was damage to the right side engine guard, the right side saddle bag guard, and a bunch of the tuperware on front and on the right side. He got the bike hoie, took it apart planning on fixing it and there it sat untill I purchased it 2 years ago. When I got the bike, it was apart and in many peices but was still running and was even able to be riden! He had kept the bike in his garage and had religously started it and kept it running for all of those years! I got it home, immidetely changed ALL of the fluids, drained the fuel tank, replaced the battery, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the air filter, replaced the fuel filter, adjusted the carburetors and got the bike running sweet and probably as good or better than new! I took my time adjustiong those carbs and this bike runs really well. After that, I went to work on the physical damage. Almost all of the parts used are the originals that only needed repainting. The saddle bag guard on the right side did need to be replaced and the bottom trim on the underside of that bag was slightly damaged and has been touched up; if you lay on the ground and look, you can see it, but otherwise, you'd never know. Some other minor parts were replaced as well along the way. To update the look of the bike while I was working on it, I had the front rotor covers, the front fork guard and the front fender trim painted with the factory Martini Beige paint to match the color of the bike. I also painted the windshield trim to match as well, and I got many compliments and people say it looks great and ask me what I did to make it look so different! Anyway, it's time for a new project for me and I'm listing this beutiful Goldwing so that someone else can have the chance to enjoy it! As a note, the front tire is BRAND NEW and has less than 25 miles on it. The rear tire is about 50 to 60% worn but has at least 5,000 miles left on it. Included in the buy it now price will be the following: A BRABD NEW rear tire mounted and balanced and ready to install, the original Honda Goldwing storage cover and a genuine sheepskin seat cover that the original owner used (I dont like the look and took it off, but it is in great condition) Bidding starts at only $2999.00 and the buy it now is only $4,295.00! Nada value on this bike in excellent condition is $4,805.00 as of today, but that does not take into account the VERY LOW mileage AND the TWO BRAND NEW TIRES! $500.00 IMMIDIATE deposit required or the bike will be relisted. Look at the pictures and ask questions before bidding; I have excellent feedback and would like to keep it that way. Look at the pictures and note that in two of them I am pointing out minor existing defects; these are cracks in the plastic and are minor at best, but worth noting. Things that I forgot to add in the original listing: 1) Front springs have been UPGRADED to Progresives. This was done just last spring and the springs have less than 100 miles on them 2) The front forl oil was changed at the time the springs were installed 3) The aftermarket forged alunimum front fork brace has also been installed.
