0 false 18 pt 18 pt 0 0 false false false 1981 Delorean DMC 12 (#2206) for sale. I have owned this car for almost 20 years but sadly it is time to let her go. The car was loved and well taken care of until being placed in a heated indoor storage space for the last 11 years. The car ran well prior to placing in storage. However, I have not been able to get the car running correctly since bringing it out of storage. Though the car was able to be driven around the block after some cleanup and a fuel pump replacement, the car currently will not run. The stainless steel body is in nice shape, with the exception of a few scratches and one or two small dings. The odometer indicates 27,052 but does not reflect actual miles. The speedometer cable did not work for approximately 2 years prior to placing in storage. I estimate I drove an additional 10-15k during this time. The car has not been licensed since approx. 2001. It has an automatic transmission with a V6 engine. Twin Turbos were added just prior to placing in storage. Original parts (i.e. air filter housing and exhaust tips) are included in case returning to original condition is intended. Service manuals are also included. I have listed additional information and conditions that I am aware of, however I am not a mechanic and am unsure of what will be needed to get her up and running again. It is recommended that the buyer have an agent inspect the car prior to bidding. The car is sold as-is, with no warranties expressly written or implied. The car is located in Springville, Utah. Additional Condition Information: Engine The car is currently not running.Cranks smoothly.Engine appears to have weak oil pressure.Transmission has leak. Interior Leather seats have some cracking (see photos).Door headliners have de-bonded from roof.Original stereo replaced with CD player.The passenger window switch is not working.the heater/AC interior fan is noisy.the dash has a crack above the glove box,there is some glue residue from a radar detector on the dash. Body Front bumper has some cracks and paint chipping (see photos).Rear bumper paint is fading (see photos).Stainless steel has some minor scratches on the hood side and near the rear tire (see photos).glass seals are begining to show age. Miscellaneous Brakes are a bit spongy.Needs new tires. Tires on car have flat spots from storing.Needs new speedometer cable.Odometer does not work. An approximate 15k miles on car above that registered.A/C was working prior to storing however unable to test now. New parts: Door struts.Hood and trunk struts.Fuel filter.fuel pump, pickup and fittings.
