Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is the Rarest Mustang ever produced, which is the 1965 Ford Mustang K code Convertible. The production estimates are less than 200 produced from 65-66. This is a rolling shell of a project as what you see is what you get!! THIS IS A MAJOR PROJECT !!! I do not have the original engine or transmission and the rear end is not the correct 9" that should be in the car. I bought it as you see, and decided I do not have the money to bring the car back to what it should be. These cars sell for about $60K to $80K when they are done right! You do not see these cars come up for sell EVER, so this is a rare opportunity to own one. The car does not come with the 3 speed trans that is sitting in the car now as I gave that to a friend already. The car in the past had new rear quarters put on, new trunk pan, and new rear tail light panel. The passenger side quarter needs some work, as the gaps are not what they should be in my opinion. The car has new fenders up front, so it appears that at one time the car going to be restored and never got finished. I set a low reserve on the car, so Good Luck and please email me with any questions. As we all know the car originally came with a V8, 289 HiPo engine, that produced 271 HP, and a 4 speed manual transmission. The car is registered with the hipomustang.com website, which is a K code registry site. The car does have some minor rust in the floors of the car but, the rust is not that bad at all compared to what we have all seen!! It does not appear to have ever been in an accident as the frame rails look very good. The frame rails are solid with no visible rust issues. The rear frame rails were replaced with the new trunk pan and quarter panel work and are new. The top of the fender aprons and shock towers look great. The VIN is no secret... 5F08K731202, and it is on both sides of the car. The car has the HCC AX tight ratio steering box, upgraded sway bar, dual exhaust brackets under the rear seats, and reinforced floors under the rear seats also. The car has a power top, manual steering, and manual drum brakes. I am awaiting the title as the we speak, but our DMV is slow. So, the title for the car may be here as the auction ends or a while after. So, when buying the car just know that I do not have the title in hand but, I will have a clear Nevada title for the car. The car is a project type car! The winning bidder is required to pay a $1000 non refundable deposit due within 24 hours of winning the car! The car is being sold " As Is" due to it's age. The deposit must be paid through Paypal. The remaining balance is due within 5 days of the auction closing, and the final payment may be made with a Cashiers check, wire transfer or cash in person. The car must be picked up within 2 weeks of the auction closing, and my zip code is 89131 for shipping purposes. The car may be inspected anytime BEFORE the auction ends. Please email me with any questions, and good luck!!
