You are bidding on a 1970 Buick Skylark Custom convertible. 67K original miles!! This was a California car until it was sold to a man in Connecticut somewhere around 1998. I have service records stating the mileage in the 55K area. I bought it with 61k in the odometer, and I truely believe this to be original mileage!! I have had this car for nine years and it is great ride!. This does have a 2bbl. 350 and a turbo 350 trans, and it runs awesome. When I say you can drive this anywhere ..I mean anywhere! I painted this car a few years back and it is holding up very well. The top is new as well as the padding, cables, trunk well. The top cylinders, hoses, and power top motor are also new. While the top was apart, the entire rack assembly was broken down , re-bushed, detailed and re-assembled. The floors are in great shape with only 1 small hole ( the size of a quarter) on the left side just ahead of the wheel well. This came from a leaking top cylinder. I have welded in a plate from the top side and it is rock solid. The interior has no rips or tears. The door panels are a bit wavy but over all, way above driver quality. This has the 3 spoke wheel, tilt column, Kenwood am/fm/cd player with 2 speakers down in the kick panels, and 2 more hiding behind the back seat. This also has p/s, p/b (drum x 4), dual exhaust, Large front sway bar and standard rear sway bar, both borrowed from a Chevelle. All the suspension bushings have been replaced with Poly-graphite pieces and it handles very well. I pulled the engine out a few years back and re-gasketed and detailed it up and the transmissions has recently been rebuilt. The gas tank is 1 year old and the sending was also replaced. I have replaced front and rear bumpers, door handles, weatherstripping, windshield, tires,and various other things over the time I have owned it. This car constantly draws attention and thumbs up everywhere I go. I have been to various shows and cruise nights and there is always someone telling me how nice it is....I just think it's a cool car that the average Joe can afford and not be afraid to drive. I know...here comes the bad stuff. The hood needs to be adjusted, it is higher on the driver side. There is a small leak coming from the transmission, when it sits for a while, like winter storage, there is a spot on the floor about 2 inches in diameter. It is very hard to show in the pics but the body is not perfectly straight. I did the paint and body work myself and there are some imperfections. Once again, I feel it is still way above driver quality. If you are looking for a perfect show car, this is not the car for you. If you are looking to jump in, drop the top, and cruise till the wheels fall off, and still have money left in your pockets this is it!! I have tried to describe this as best as I can. I welcome anyone come and drive it, or have a third party look it over. I have been an Auto Tech. for 30 years and doing restoration work for 20. I don't think anybody will find anything not up to par. You are also more than welcome to inspect it anytime at my shop where we can put it up on a lift.
