This 1970 BMW is ready to go. It starts right up and drives great. The 1973 Jawa/Velorex sidecar is included. I do not have the Jawa tag for the front. The bike has new tires, exhaust, tune-up, carbs rebuilt. Just choke it and it fires first time. Has both electric and kick start, no reverse gear. I took the sidecar mounting system apart and had it stripped of old paint and freed up as it was frozen and could not be adjusted. I have not repainted it yet as you can see in the pictures. The motor is from a 1972 , the bike is a 1970. When the bike was sold several owners back, he signed the title for the 1972 bike that the motor came from. So the title said 1972 with the numbers from the motor (see pic) on the title. After several attempts to correct this with the state of Michigan, the closest I have come is the title with the correct 1970 vin (see other pic) but it still says 1972. Michigan took 2 months to accomplish this as they had to run both vins through NCIC to make sure neither the bike or motor was stolen.....NEITHER WAS! But still couldn't seem to mesh the correct vin and year on the title. So you have a 1970 bike with a 1972 motor of the original size. The bike seems to be all original except for the motor, the paint on both bike and sidecar has scratches (see pics) but nothing that could not be fixed with a paint job if you choose. Sidecar has brake and lights (lights not hooked up). All lights and signals on the bike work as they should. Have cockpit cover for sidecar. Sidecar has 100 lb steel plate under the body for ballast when riding with no passenger. Owner 2 previous to me put that on it. VERY FUN TO DRIVE, gets looks wherever you go.
