Vehicle Detail
Hello. You are bidding on a 1969 Camaro rolling shell from California. It was actually a pretty straight solid car to start with. All panels are original born with GM other than a drivers side quarter skin replacement and semi-smoothed firewall. The quarter skin was replaced because of dents, NOT because of rust. Firewall was smoothed but will still accept the original heater box, wiper motor, etc. Every square inch, inside and out of the car has been media blasted and the car has been stored indoors since so you can see whats there. I spent $1000 in blasting alone. It is extremely dry here in Nevada, so as you can see, the car really doesnt even have any surface or flash rust since then. Subframe is straight. The body as you can see, for the most part is excellent just needing minor bodywork and finishing from here. There is some holes left after the blasting process from rust on the passengers footboards (pictured). The surrounding metal is very solid and in my oppinion, and can be welded up. I don`t feel that its necessary to cut out and replace floorpans etc in this area, unless you like creating work for yourself. However, if you decide to patch the patch areas aren`t that big. Note the package tray area hasn`t been hacked to death and the dash remains unmodified as well. I had big plans with this car, but I just never found the time so it needs to go. The car will be sold as pictured and does have a clear California title. I have many parts from the car and additional parts as well that can be purchased seperately, or call me, we can come up with a package deal depending on how complete of a car you are looking for. I have tons of 69 Camaro parts, engines, seats, a couple Muncies, a couple 12 bolt rears, window regulators, gauge clusters, consoles, etc, etc. I mainly listed the car as is because someone out there with a rust ridden shell might be looking for a replacement shell to work with and or only specific parts with the car.. POTENTIAL BUYERS: I have described this car as honestly and as accurately as possible, and to the best of my knowledge, but please, if you need additional pics, or have any questions, ask BEFORE bidding as this sale is final with no warranty and I want you to be happy with the car. Serious buyers can feel free to call me at 530 307-8973. The car is available for inspection at anytime BEFORE the end of auction, and I do reserve the right to end auction early for local sale. BIDDERS WITH 15 OR LESS WILL CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING AS I WILL CANCEL YOUR BIDS OTHERWISE. I HAVE DEALT WITH TOO MANY NON PAYING BIDDERS IN THE PAST AND IT WILL NOT HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN. SORRY. ALSO PLEASE CONTACT ME WITH SPECIFIC PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS.. OUT OF COUNTRY BUYERS : I have shipped cars out of country in the past and am familiar with the process. If you purchase this car, I can help arrange safe transport to a shipping company of your choice, and I do have past references. Thanks LarryOn Apr-08-13 at 09:18:10 PDT, seller added the following information: TO ALL POTENTIAL BIDDERS: I have had tons of emails from people asking how much extra for the parts to make the car or semi-complete. Ad another $2000 to the purchase price of the car for everything that I have. I have steering column, door and window regulators, latches, front seats, glovebox door, wiring harness, speedo cluster, bumpers and or brackets, taillight buckets, wheelwells, one fender, lower valance, marker lights, shifter, headlight assemblies, grill, hoodlatch, hood hinges, etc, etc, I know there is a bunch more small parts that I removed from the car in bins at my shop as well. Basicly, the parts I have will make the car 95% complete. For an additional $500, I have a GM cowl hood that I would sell with the car as well. Thanks
