Hello. You are bidding on a 1966 Mustang coupe. Condition is as follows.. Body: Take a look at the undercarriage. You can see that this has been a west coast car all of its life. Other than on small spot on the drivers rear foot foot panel, (pictured) this car is rust free. It does NOT have the typical rust that is associated with these cars. Lower doors, quarter panels, trunk extensions, window channels, cowl and firewall, framerails, top of fenders, and battery tray area are super solid and do not have any rust issues. Body and paint are decent driver quality as you can see. Original color is maroon. White stripes on the rocker panels are decals and can be removed if you choose. Upon an eventual repaint, the car will need minor bodywork and panel alignment. The only item on the body that needs replacement is the hood as it does have body filler which is cracking. Glass is in excellent shape and window moldings are nice as well. All other chrome is driver quality. Drivetrain: Runs, shifts, and drives well, tracks straight down the road. Tires are like new, brakes are new, has drum brakes on all four wheels. This is an original V8 car and has factory power steering. Wipers work. Headlights, high and lowbeam work. Gauges work, blinkers work. No known mechanical issues. Interior: Has aftermarket CD player. Steering column is tight, steering wheel is new. Carpet is presentable as is but a bit faded. Seats front and rear will need reupholstered and will need a new headliner and package tray. Dash pad will need replaced eventually as it has a couple cracks, but is presentable as is. Door panels and armrests are new. Door glass rolls up and down fine. Odometer shows 29000, but has probably rolled over once. Overall: Good presentable, good running driver. Drive as you restore. Most important this is a great foundation to build on because of its lack of rust.
