A real Texas barn find : Found this truck when I was out on a service job . NO RESERVE .I bought this truck from the original owner. They purchased new back in 1977 from a local dealer ship , So yes this is a 1 owner truck , well now 2 owners since I just recently titled it in my name .Tags of the last time it was driven was from back in 1991 , and just parked in the barn and stored until now . Covered in dirt and dust . I pulled it out and hauled it home . Took it a bath and to my discovery the body is really solid . I found some rubber plugs , looks like they had taken it to Ziebart to get it rust proofed when they bought it . Driver fender has a dent , passenger door has a small dent , rear passenger dually fender has damage from a tire blowout they had back in the mid 80's . I disconnected the fuel tank , and put a temporary tank ,and a little gas in the carb and BAM !!!!!! Started right up ! Engine sounds good , I let it run for a good 40 minutes , no knocks , no blow by . Would be nice to do a 12v Cummins conversion to this classic . I drove it around the yard for a little while , and the brakes are soft , also the transmission may need the fluid drained and new fluid put in because it catches but it's aged and may need cleaner tranny fluid to help it shift easier . This is a classic truck , so bid accordingly sold as is where is . Frame is solid , suspension looks solid . I really wanted to keep this truck , but an emergency forces the sale . If I can get what I want , then I will let it go , if not I will just park it in the carport and save it for a later time . Ask questions before placing your bid .
