Vehicle Detail
I have decided to sell my 1955 IHC R132 truck. It has a 9ft flatbed and is all original. I have owned this truck since 1990 and have the title. I restored it about 5 years ago, and it' been inside all its life. Everything on the truck is as it was in 1955. It is time someone gets some enjoyment out of it. Options purchased on this truck new included: driver side armrest, sun visors, cab heater w/ switch, clearance lights, driver door mounted outside mirror, interior rearview mirror and interior cab light w/ switch. All the gauges work and it has all the original knobs and gauges. It operates on a 6V, positive (+) ground system. The truck was used for grain hauling during its early life, drivetrain has a little over 87000 miles on it. Absolutely nothing wrong with the engine, transmission, or rearend. Even the heat riser spring on the manifold operates correctly. Only leaks a small spot when sitting from the oil pan drain plug. Original muffler and exhaust are a bit loud by today's standards. Front tires are new, rears are in acceptable driving condition. Everything else works on the truck. Yes, even the vacumn-operated window wipers. Yes, the handle operated cowl vent works. Yes, the glove box button works. Only one exception, the headlight switch only works the parking lights, not the headlights. I have a new switch, but never wired it up. All new items include: brake system w/ new wheel cylinders and master cylinder - cab seat vinyl and stuffing, firewall board and pad, floorboard pad and mat, glove box, door glass, channels and whiskers - all body and cab gaskets, seals, etc. - 8V battery w/ tender - floor mats and mud flaps. Also with the truck sells the following items; the original grain bed. It is made of tongue and groove wood and fits in the stake pockets. It has a small chute door in the rear. Paperwork consisting of a parts manual, owners manual and other literature from IHC. Miscellaneous parts including an extra set of badging, 6V bulbs, and misc. fasteners. With all that said, I want the buyer to know that the paint job was NOT done professionally. It does have a good finish to it however. It is just an enamel w/o hardener to keep rust away. It looks good in the photos, but I want to be upfront and let the buyer know I did not intend to show this truck when I had it painted. Okay, thanks for looking and feel free to ask me questions as they come up.
