We sold this truck to them 7 years ago and they had good enough luck with it to bring it back to trade on a later model Ford pickup. The truck looks very decent, it runs and drives well, doesn't smell like smoke, and it's priced well for a crew 7.3. These trucks are extremely durable, and this one has never towed heavy. It's a mean rig and a good buy. exterior The paint and body on this truck are in great shape for the age and mileage. It has nice gloss, no noticeable body rust, hail, or obvious damage at all. The truck hasn't seen road salt. It was actually also registered here, back in 2001. The doors all open and close well, everything matches, bumpers are straight, and trim is ok. The truck has a bed liner and hasn't had a hitch inside the bed. It has what looks like a Skyjacker lift, maybe 4". The 315s are a good size for the vehicle and it's not hard to get in and out of. The windshield is cracked in the photos, but we've replaced it. The tires are fine to drive on for a while yet, but will need done at some point. The tailgate has a few little dings and some touched up scratches. The front bumper has a couple spots where the chrome was chipped and it started to rust just a bit. The lower rockers on the truck have a little road wear from the big tires. The truck has some other small superficial marks otherwise, but nothing bad, definitely a good looking rig. interior The interior is in great shape as well. It hasn't been smoked in at least the last 7 years, but it has a couple little burn marks in the carpet. I'm very picky and it doesn't stink. The dash, doors, headliner, all in nice shape. We replaced a few panels in the drivers seat base, looks nice though. The truck is well equipped and everything seems to work fine except the backup sensors in the rear bumper and the oil gauge on the gauge cluster pillar. It's not connected currently. The truck has a nice stereo with a plug for your ipod. There is one little rust spot just showing on the passenger front door corner inside. Ford door seams are glued, not welded, so it's easy to get water down inside them, which causes this. It's just that one tiny spot. mechanical This pickup runs out very well. It has a few aftermarket modifications, custom exhaust, banks 6-gun, and a sort of manual exhaust brake which just runs the valve on the back of the turbo. We changed the oil, filter, fuel filter and did all 8 glow plugs. The truck has good batteries, it sounds mean, not rattly, and there's no excessive blow by or bad leaks. It seeps a little like any 230k mile truck, but not puking. The 4x4 engages fine. It does have manual Warn hubs which are far more reliable than the factory ones. The previous owner did ball joints at 160k. It doesn't wander all over the road, does have a little play in the steering, maybe something you could do if you put brand new tires on it. It's a very sturdy truck and with similar care, will probably run another 230k. comments This is a tough truck and a good buy. We guarantee clean title.
