Vehicle Detail
In very good original condition woody wagon. All trim and molding intact. The interior is very clean with brand new premium custom carpeting installed to match the original color and style. I think the seats are original and in excellent condition with one very small blemish that looks like a burn mark. The original headliner is nearly perfect. It appears to be a non-smoker car and smells clean inside. * The seat belts have been upgraded to modern retractable that match original style. * All lights and gauges work. * Has a very nice vintage panasonic tuner with cassette, upgraded dash speakers and speaker boxes in the rear. Sounds pretty good, rear speakers have blue neon tights that go on when the headlights are on and switch under dash. * All of the power windows work well. * Has power locks installed with basic alarm and remote entry installed. May have a crack on the dash, but it has a new custom carpet dash cover installed. It has a power front bench seat that works great. *This wagon is a high optioned unit with it's factory air conditioning that works excellent, new pump and evaporator installed and recent service done, still R-12. *Has power brakes, disk fronts, new pads installed, recent master cylinder installed, brakes work excellent. *Automatic transmission shifts excellent. *Wagon has the original big block 454 Engine that runs very strong. It now has an edelbrock aluminum intake manifold and vintage edelbrock quadrajet carburetor installed. It also has ceramic coated long tube headers installed, converted to dual exhaust going out the sides with stainless steel resonator tips that give the wagon a real nice rumble. *The engine has a new alternator, new water pump, new timing chain, new power steering pump, new motor mounts installed. Has a new billet electronic ignition distributor, with everything integrated, clear cap. New motor mounts installed. Engine compartment cleaned up nice, eliminated smog equipment (but still have all the original parts stored). runs, drives, stops great. *It has the original blue paint as far as I can tell. It is fading. It may have been touched up here and there over the years. The wood paneling looks great and all the molding is intact. It has a couple of minor dings and scratched, but nothing too major. It could probably use a paint job, but it's a very good presentable driver condition car for 40 years old. Everything is extremely straight. No major damage detected. Not perfect, but very nice for it's age. *Has a new Champion Aluminum three row radiator, original fan and shroud, engine runs nice and cool. *Speaking of cool, one of the coolest and unique features of this model is the "Clam Shell" power rear tail gate. The best for tail gating events. It is full power and functions perfectly by using the key at the rear or by switches on the dash. The power rear window goes up and hides up in the headliner. The tailgate goes down and disappears. Rear window and tailgate can operate together or independently. The rear windows have all been professionally tinted. This wagon is the two seat model with stow-away storage. The seats have seat belts for 3 each, total of 6 passengers. The rear has a huge hidden storage area with hatch door. The second seat can lay down flat. It has new shocks, the rear shocks are premium coil over shocks and the fronts are new dual stage gas shocks. Has nice updated metallic silver and polished lip "vintage look" wheels and newer Nexen tires with good tread. Everything works well on the classic wagon. Starts, runs, drives, stops excellent. Has highway gears, so it is a cruiser, with lots of torque. Plenty of power and drives very smooth as a comfortable classic cruiser. * New exhaust makes a nice loud rumbling sound. Compliments and thumbs up everywhere we go. Solid California wagon with no rust, unmolested, pampered original condition. They just don't make them like this any more. Note: Have the original wheels and hub caps as well. Could use some weather stripping around some of the windows, otherwise everything works great. The hide away wind shield wipers work great. Must see this vehicle to full appreciate it's original, nostalgic, and cleaned condition. This special wagon has never been abused, loved and garaged all of it's life. (and is still garaged every day) Note: Disclosure- there is a slight leak starting at the rear main seal. It is not bad, but will have to be replaced sometime. This should be expected on an original 40 year old car. Wagon runs and drives really well and could be a daily driver. It is such a wonderful experience to drive an original classic just like it was back then and is ready to go anywhere. *The wagon is available for inspections. It has a clear California current pink slip. *This is being sold auction style. Bidders with no history or positive feedback contact me before hand or I may cancel the bid. I reserve the right to cancel the auction early. Far away buyers that require transporting need to select their own transportation company and make all arrangements at their expense. I will assist in a reasonable manner to facilitate a smooth transaction. All funds must be paid and verified in full before vehicle can be transported. I have sold five other cars on ebay and I have all positive feedback. Any questions, please email for more information or pictures.
