Up for auction is a nice hard to find 1972 Datsun 521 pickup virtually unmolested original color was burgundy. The engine runs like a top easy start with the WEBER 32/36 DGEV carb. It looks like there has been some recent work on the upper end I.E. timing chain and cylinder head as there are new gaskets and some sealant showing, along with a newer fuel pump. The engine sounds like new with zero smoke upon start up or idling and no unusual engine noise whatsoever. Fresh oil change and new fuel filter Clutch and transmission are in excellent condition long with the brakes. The body panels are straight and are in good condition. The lower grill surround is missing and all the side marker lights work but the rear passenger side marker light lens is broken. The seat belts are missing The only rust issues are on the drivers side floor board and the pickup bed and driver side wheel well see photos. The door bottoms rockers and cab corners are in excellent condition as well. The window regulators operate as they should. The interior need to be replaced the bench seat is in good condition. The heater works perfectly and blows hot . the truck retains all the original glass and is in good condition with the exception of the windshield it has a small bullseye chip. The door seals and door glass sweeps need replacing. There are newer tires and wheels on the truck but if I were restoring this truck I would install the original OEM tires and wheels.
