CLASSIC 1968 CHEVY VAN , I am only the second owner , THIS VAN WAS LOVINGLY NAMED THE "JERRY VAN" by members of the local van club ....and this van was only used for band equipment since purchased brand new in 1968 in San francisco ,,,and has some pretty interesting history behind it. It was udercoated at the dealership in 1968 and the only rust spot was in the right front corner of the roof ,,, I have owned it for the last few years and have added a rebuilt 350 v8 with Edelbrock 4bbl carb and endurashine intake etc, New Clutch and pressure plate etc... all brakes have been serviced within the last 18 monthes , all tires were replaced 3 years ago and are still like new , new front winshield and rubber seal, new custom Exhaust system with my own version of Zoomies, coming out each side, This van sounds cool.....Runs excellant with 3 on the tree that shifts smooth and never jams up ,,,has a 4:11 rearend , and with the larger tires on the back .... at 65 it is comfortable but at 75 you are winding up the motor,,, and you have Plenty of power at any speed , all doors open and close correctly and the door handles and latches are not all worn out like on a commercially used van, IT always gets THUMBS UP while I am driving it and even has a couple trophies from local SAN DIEGO car shows under its belt,,,,Please ask any additional questions by email or cell 619 316 4092 On Feb-25-13 at 10:37:02 PST, seller added the following information: PLEASE NOTE THIS VAN IS 45 YEARS OLD AND WAS REPAINTED THE ORIG COLOR APROX 25 YEARS AGO AND HAS SOME MINOR DENTS , DINGS AND NEEDS SOME TLC LIKE ANY 45 YEAR OLD VEHICLE,,, THIS VAN IS NOT CONCOURSE SHOW QUALITY AND HAS WON TROPHYS FOR ITS ORIGINALITY AND PATINA ,,,PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS AND UNDERSTAND THIS BEFORE BIDDING......
