Vehicle Detail
1976 Honda CB750K 5627 Miles. Bone stock all 1976 Honda right down to the tires. The story on this bike is that the original owner and a buddy both bought bikes and his buddy hurt himself shortly after, and the owner lost enthusiasm for riding, and it was only taken out a few times after that. It sat in the corner of a woodshop near a window, which faded the tank top and gauges. The seat had a sheepskin cover over it, so it survived very well, with only a couple of nicks that I had planned to fix with rubberized superglue. I brought it home, drained all fluids, refilled with Castrol GTX and a new filter, new brake fluid, and new gas. I gave the carbs a quick clean and blow, popped in a battery and she fired right up. The motor ran SILENTLY. It was so quiet I was amazed. It ran well, but the carbs could use a better sorting, as it stumbled a little on the top end. This bike is so original that it still has the yellow slippage paint on many of the fasteners. It does have some of the discoloration on the aluminum under the clear coat, which should be familiar to to any vintage Honda guys. It can buff out, but it's a lot of work, and once you start, you are committed! Even the tires are original, and look to be in good shape. The tools and manual are under the seat, and I don't think they have ever been out of their plastic containers. The inside of the fuel tank looks mint. Now anybody who has bought anything online should know that pictures don't show corrosion or flaws very well, and there are a few on this bike. It is not 100%, it is like 98%. It does have a crack in one side cover. I'm selling this bike, and it is my nicest bike, because I don't ride it. I have another CB I ride, which isn't so cherry. I to wanted preserve the low miles and condition of this bike, but I can't really justify owning a museum piece when other bills need to be paid. Shipping is the buyers problem, I will deliver it to Spokane, WA or it can be picked up in Hayden, ID. If you are looking for a nearly pristine 76 CB750, this is it. All it really needs is a little more buffing and polishing to be superfine. Email with any questions, but spare me scams and requests for "buy it now." This is an auction, with no phony reserves.
