2004 Toyota Prius SHOWS 69598 miles but is being sold TRUE MILES UNKNOWN due to a previous instrument cluster failure which is common in these cars. The instrument cluster was replaced and is working properly. This means that the miles that are displayed are NOT CORRECT. THIS CAR WILL NOT PASS NC STATE INSPECTION. I CAN NOT SELL THIS CAR TO A NC BUYER UNLESS YOU ARE A LICENSED DEALER. THE DETAILS ARE BELOW. PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DESCRIPTION BEFORE BIDDING THE GOOD: It is a great running PriusIt has no leaks of any kindAll options and features work like they should except for what is listed belowThe body is clean and relatively dent/ding free other than what is consistent with this age vehicleAll VIN tags on all body panels are intact and the car has original paint all around.We purchased this car from the local Toyota Dealer where it was traded in on a new Toyota Prius.The hybrid battery and hybrid systems are operating properly with no faults or warning lights. We checked it with our own Toyota scan-tool before we bought it. THE BAD: It has 17" aftermarket wheels and tires on the vehicle. They are all the same size but are noisy and the passenger rear wheel is the same size but a different brandIt has wear on the drivers seat, the drivers door sill and glove compartment trim are peeling, and there are cigarette burn marks on the rear seat cushionIt is missing the rear windshield wiperIt is missing the small grill on the passenger side foglight.It will not pass NC state emissions inspection due to the check engine light being on. I will only sell the car to an OUT OF STATE resident due to the fact that it will not pass inspectionIt is showing OBD2 codes for the following: P0441, P0446 which relate to the Evaporative Emissions system (factory service manual shows a gross leak in the system such as a gas cap and/or vacuum line leak) P1121, P1122, P1123 which is the coolant diverter valve failure for the coolant storage tank (an easy do it yourself repair)These codes are emissions related and do not impact in any way how the car drivesThe drivers side suspension has a rattle. Nothing major buts its there. It is probably the strut.The drivers side window is off the track. It probably will need a window regulator. We will put it back on track for the drive or shipment home.The heater blower motor is noisy I can supply 4 used stock wheels (no tires), a used window regulator, used heater blower motor, used coolant diverter valve, and a used strut assembly for about $300. That will resolve all of the problems except for the evap system leak. I am going to put a new gas cap on it and drive it to see if the code for that clears (I suspect that it will.... but no guarantees). If you want these items corrected call me for a cost to do the work. We can have it done reasonably. THE FINE PRINT: I run all of my vehicles on EBAY NO-RESERVE.
