Vehicle Detail
1968 Ford F-250 Camper Special I purchased from Texas three years ago; second owner, retired from the Air Force. He purchased it from the original owner while stationed at Edwards Air Force Base. I saw it for sale while travelling in Texas and bought it as it was such a clean truck. It wears it's original paint and is rust free. The entire truck has a very nice patina and is fully operational.I have kept it garaged since I have had it. This truck has only 47,562 original miles on it! Hard to believe, but true! This is a very nice truck showing factory paint on the floorboards and is a very desirable highly optioned vehicle. I have the original owners manual with the original owner's information; purchased new in California. I also have the original A/C instructions book with a vintage A/C window sticker that was never installed. The body and frame is in excellent original condition. Unlike east coast vehicles (this one is not) it is very well preserved. This truck is heavily optioned and maintains all of it's original equipment; all operational and in excellent condition. It is factory equipped with the following options;-390 V-8-Automatic Transmission-Power Steering-Power Disc Brakes -Posi-traction Rear-Factory Air Conditioning (Blows Ice Cold!!)-Tow package, with trailer harness-Dual batteries-Dual Exhaust-Dual spot lights (dealer installed in 1968!)-Bedside locking tool box. Here is what I have done to the truck since I purchased it three years ago;-New radiator-New water pump-New exhaust system-Four new Michelin steel belted truck tires, with less than 1000 miles-Brake system completely rebuilt, calipers, power brake booster, master cylinder, rotors, pads, drums and shoes-Rebuilt A/C compressor and new componentsThis truck can be drive anywhere. It is reluctantly for sale to make room for a restoration project I have underway. This is a very nice truck. So nice that a Chevy guy (me) bought it. Still has the Texas 2010 inspection sticker. I bought it on the spot and drove it back from Texas! I have a clear title with no encumbrances, the vehicle is tagged historic right now. It passed a MD inspection when I bought it! It is fairly priced to sell. You won't find another one like it. I welcome inspections and test drives prior to the auction close. I will make every reasonable accommodation to assist with pickup and transportation. This is a very nice 45 year old truck, and they are getting very hard to find in this condition. Would make a perfect vehicle to tow your antique or custom to the car show with. We are about ten minutes north of Baltimore Washington International Airport in Catonsville, Maryland. You can send me your number if you wish to speak. Not interested in dealer's, brokers or trades. There is a reasonable reserve and it is well below low retail. This is priced to sell. You can call with questions or schedule a preview of the vehicle to 443-623-9427. CURRENT NADA VALUATION FOR CLASSIC CAR/TRUCK PRICING: LOW: $8800 to $9540 USDAVERAGE: $13,472 HIGH: $21,315 On Feb-08-13 at 15:28:57 PST, seller added the following information: The truck was serviced today, 2/8/13, for it's lucky buyer. Oil, filters, chassis, tuned and A/C service. Runs like a top blowing ICE COLD AIR as always. For those close enough and who have called, as a reminder, it will be available for preview and inspection from 8-5 pm Saturday and by appointment on Sunday. Please call for the location. Thank you for all the compliments on the truck! Good luck bidding.
