Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 This is a 1997 S-10 EV Electric truck. It is one of the few remaining Chevrolet electric vehicles. There were originally only around 440 of these produced. The body and interior of this truck are in good shape. This truck is powered by a 85kw ,(114 horsepower), 312 volt three-phase, (12 volt lead acid batteries) , liquid cooled, AC induction motor. This truck is front wheel drive, with a direct drive system (no transmission). This truck has the same drive-train as the famous EV-1 that GM destroyed. This truck will need new batteries. A Magne charger is included. This truck does not run. As far as I know, all that it needs is new batteries (the batteries that are on the truck will not take a charge). It will also need new tires. We purchased this truck as a project to bring it back, but a Sportsmobile RV project took priority since we driving a Prius and an Insight as daily drivers. The truck has sat covered since we purchased it. We thought that this would make a great vehicle for our teenage son... only seating two, having limited range, and needing to come home to refuel.
