This 2001 Chevrolet C6500 25 foot box truck would work well with a lot of different professions. Any kind of work that requires a lot of enclosed space to haul equipment, this truck is perfect for. The exterior of this truck is white and in decent shape. The box has been spray painted over where the previous owners logo was with white paint. Also the front left fender is cracked and broken and is pictured in the listing. The paint is flaking off of the roof over the cab of the truck but in my opinion this all is normal wear for a 2001 box truck, and the exterior is in pretty good shape considering its age. The inside has gray vinyl seats and rubber flooring which makes cleaning this truck happen with ease. The seats are torn on the driver and passenger sides of the truck. The tears in the seats are pictured in the listing. The am/fm radio does work well but occassionally when the truck hits a bump in the road the radio will go out. In order to fix this all that is required is for the volume control to be nudged and it will come right back on. The air conditioning and heat in this truck work very well. The tires are in good shape and will not need replacing anytime soon. The rear of the truck features the barn doors and a hydraulic lift that works with the push of a button to allow for loading the truck with ease. The engine in this truck is the 7.2L Caterpillar 6 cylinder diesel. This Chevrolet box truck features the 6 speed spicer transmission. When road tested the truck runs out phenomenally well. The engine runs like new, the transmission shifts into all gears with ease, and the clutch is tight and will not need replacing anytime soon. The combination of this engine and transmission make for hauling heavy loads with ease. When you are considering bidding on this truck do not focus so much on cosmetics as to what the truck actually offers, after all it is a work truck. The Caterpillar Diesel engine is second to none and known for reliability and durability. The Spicer transmission is also a great add to this truck which does not come in all these box trucks. I do have some service records on this truck. With only 136,914 miles on it, this truck has a long life or reliable service left in it. Although it does show signs of normal wear as listed specifically earlier, the important parts like the engine, transmission, and hydraulic lift are in perfect working order.
