This is a great dual sport that is street legal enough to get you from patch to patch of dirt. At only 245 lbs dry, 52 Hp, and Ohlin shocks it is quite a performer, even in the technical stuff, with BMW quality. I bought this bike new and have only ridden it two times. I took it from NH to CA (in a trailer) with plans to ride a lot out there. Unfortunately, it is a 49 state bike and can not be registered in CA--the 2010 can and I never got a straight answer as to why the difference. I brought the 450X back to NH, but after hitting a bear last fall at 55 mph on my Rockster and screwing up my body a bit, I have decided that I'm not riding dirt anymore and must sell the bike. It only has 203 miles on it and a couple very tiny scratches. If you ride this the way it should be, you'll collect plenty of scratches in a short time and have a great time doing it.
