1957 Chevrolet 3100 Pick Up Truck for auction. NO RESERVE If you are looking for a great Chevy short bed truck – here you go. Overall this truck is in beautiful condition. The paint is in very decent condition. There are no major scratches or dings in the paint. The paint job is around 2-3 years old and some body shop did a good job. The Oak bed is brand new w/ all new stainless steel hardware too. The bed front and side panels have a red hard plastic bed coating applied. The body and undercarriage is in good condition. There are no signs of any major accidents on the body/frame; The truck was "lowered" buy previous owners, they used a lowering kit; the front springs appear to be 2" heavy duty drop springs, the rear leaf springs were relocated above the differential and spacers are in place between the diff. and leafs. The interior is nice but still needs some TLC. The bench seat and steering wheel were just refurbished. Recently, the instrument cluster was replaced and the AMP gauge wiring was removed properly --to prevent the very well know under dash fires which occurred due to the factory AMP wiring. No carpet at this point or door panels. This is a strong running truck. The 283ci engine has plenty of power and there are no known issues with the engine. Also the automatic tranny shifts well. The truck is a steering column automatic shifter. The aftermarket A/C is in working order and blows cold air. No power steering – this is a man’s truck. All four shocks are new, all four drum brakes have new cylinders, and a new master cylinder too. The power brake and master cylinder conversion was done by a previous owner—however as mentioned I replaced the master cylinder; which is tucked along the LH rail and there is a cover plate under the seat to access the master cylinder. This truck turns head where ever it go. The red paint and the body style are just matching perfectly. This is a great truck. Please remember that this truck was not “frame off restored” for $100k. This is a beautiful truck in driver condition. You can take this truck with proud to any car show.The truck does come w/ Ca. "Black Plates" but they are NOT registered w/ the truck.
