Up for bid is a very, very nice 1978 Jeep CJ-7. The Jeep looks incredible and drives great! It really is an eye catcher and gets compliments wherever it goes. Mechanically there are absolutely no known issues! I purchased the Jeep in January 2009 and have put just over 3,000 miles on it in the past 4 years. Before me, it was an Arizona Jeep. The jeep has been garaged and only driven on dry, sunny days. The odometer shows 33,300 miles, although I don’t know if those are actual miles. 258 6 cylinder engine starts and runs flawlessly. T-18 4 speed transmissions shifts smooth just like it should. 4 wheel drive works great. Warn manual locking hubs. Sun Orange 7Z paint looks great, but it was repainted by previous owner. There are a few rock chips. No rust or rust bubbles anywhere. There is “surface rust” starting on the underside of the floorboards (I have included a photo). The interior is in great shape with no rips, tears, split or cracks anywhere. Tan Levi’s seats, dash, roll bar pad, visors and spare tire cover. The driver’s seat is missing one of the Levi’s buttons; I have a NOS button to fix it. Rear seat is faded from the Arizona sun, but it is not cracked, ripped or torn. Brown carpet is in great condition. All gauges work like they should. All knobs work as they should. All lights work, including the gauge lights. Tilt steering. Full soft top with zip out windows and soft doors. Power steering. Clutch and brakes are in good condition. 31x10.50R15LT tires with a lot of miles left on them (probably 85%). I am not aware of any mechanical issues with this Jeep! In the past 4 years I have replaced the front hubs with Warn manual locking type, new water pump, new starter, new fuel tank and new fuel lines. The buyer arranges for pickup or shipping of the vehicle. I am happy to accommodate any requests the best I am able, but the responsibility is ultimately the buyer's. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 USD will be due within 24 hours of the auction. The balance being due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Acceptable methods of payment are cash on pickup, wire transfer, or Certified Cashier’s Check (transfer pending clearance). This is an awesome jeep, but it is almost 35 years old and being sold as-is, where is, with no express or implied warranties. Seller reserves the right to end the auction due to local listing.
