Vehicle Detail

This is a late production (June 1973) Mustang Mach 1 Q code 351 Cleveland Cobra Jet. This is numbers matching car with original motor, original 4 speed toploader transmission with factory Hurst shifter (yes this was an option in 73), original 350 ratio limited slip Nodular rear end and still running on original Motorcraft 4300 4 bbl carb (rebuilt by Pony Carbs). Rust free car. In 1973, you could only get functional Ram Air on the 2 bbl cars, but this car has an original Ford, fully functioning Ram Air induction system installed. Also upgraded the interior to Mach 1 interior. Originally dark metallic green repainted to 73 option color Blue Glow. Working original AM/FM stereo and clock. Full gauge package with tach. Rim blow wheel. Fold down back seat. Original space saver spare. Added Ford 500 15" wheels. Marty report. Does have headers but have replacement Ford manifolds and that can be discussed in the deal. Motor has some "unseen" upgrades (hotter coil, Pertronix, moderate cam, Centerforce clutch and flywheel) that really add to a great running car. I also have some photos of some key stamping numbers (tranny, motor, rear end, body makings) that were taken when this car underwent updating in 2002-2004 showing original components. This car is for the Ford purist looking for mostly unmolested car that is the last of its breed. Car has never been frame off restored due to condition did not require it. Suspension has been completely restored (springs, leafs, shocks, spring seats, etc), Mechanicals are up to date and refreshed, all electrical working (gauges, lights, radio, clock, etc). Interior redone (headliner, sail panels, seats, trim). Underside has been detailed some and is good but not perfect. Car was repainted in 2000 with a high end repaint and has been garaged ever since. There are No areas that show the original green paint. Car only has a few minor body imperfections. In 2007 car took Gold at the MCA Mustang show in Augusta GA for Driven Concurs Class (trophy goes with car). Also have original owners manual and original 1973 Mustang sales brochure that is included. This is not a "trailer queen" but is a very nice restoration with a lot of original parts used or still have original parts in use. A lot of attention to original detail used on this car. Vehicle is also advertised locally so it can be removed from auction at any time. Car was on auction a few weeks back but had to be ended early due to family emergency.
