Today we are auctioning off a 2008 Ford F-250 XL 6.4L Power Stroke Diesel Long Wheel Base Work Truck . This vehicle is a Bank Repo! This means that whoever is the high bidder at the end of the auction will be the new owner of this vehicle. No Reserve!! Attention all mechanics!! This one is for you!! This 2008 Ford F-250 XL long wheel base work truck is a mechanic special because the engine needs servicing! The truck does run and will move around the parking lot, but it will need to be towed to its new home. When the engine is running it has a skip in it and the truck does smoke out the exhaust pipe. The truck has not been diagnosed as to what is wrong with it nor will it be. It is being sold the way it sits. The exterior of the truck is white in color and in pretty good shape. The paint is not flaking anywhere and appears bright and glossy. The seats and floor of the truck are vinyl which make for a simple clean up after a hard day working. Features of this truck include power steering, am/fm stereo, heat/air conditioning, manual windows, and manual door locks. An additional feature of this truck is the extended wheel base. This gives the owner extra space in the bed of the truck to be able to haul more supplies. The 17 in wheels on the truck are after market chrome with the front two having the center caps and the rear two center caps are missing. The Firestone brand tires have around 60% tread life left in them, and will not need replacing anytime soon. Like I said before the vehicle will move around the parking lot but before it is driven anywhere other than that the engine problem needs to be diagnosed and addressed by a mechanic. A diesel mechanic could probably fix this vehicle pretty easily and sale it for profit, or keep it and have a good work truck without much investment. The truck only has 105,900 miles on it. Once it is repaired it still has a long life of reliability ahead of it. This truck needs a good clean up and whatever repairs need to be made to the engine and that is it as far as I know. I am unable to check the transmission other than just moving it a short distance around the parking lot. The vehicle does go into all gears when the vehicle is placed into that gear. I do not know of a problem with the transmission, but I also cannot take the truck and drive it down the road in order to let it hit all the gears at a normal speed to be able to say for sure. This vehicle does show signs of normal wear as to be expected of a 2008 model work truck. Please inspect prior to bidding. Feel free to call or email with any questions or concerns prior to bidding.
