Check it out!!!! Its a 1980 Fiat Spider Fuel Injected 4 cylinder with a starting bid of $2000.00 how could you go wrong? This a great car for someone who want to have fun driving and doesnt mind its imperfections. Happy Bidding :) History of Car as Far as I know it: We purchased the car in April 2012 from a gentleman who owned the car for roughly 20 years in which he stated the car was repainted, interior reupholstered including the convertible top and motor rebuilt a few years prior. As you can see the car looks great and I can say it runs great. As far as the reconditioning that was done, I would give a 5 out of 10. The car will get you compliments but no concourse trophy. This is used car and sold to the winning bidder with no warranty of any kind. With that in said, I have noted a the naggy details about the car I've noticed since I've bought it Yes is does have some rust on the underside of car under doors. I have not noticed paint bubble caused by rust. Let's assume there is. (see pictures) Door hinges sag when doors are opened but do not interfere with opening and closing of doors. Door window vents are missing the locks Dash has some cracks. The interior plastic parts were originally red then painted the color they are now to match interior The hood hinges appear to been welded, the welds are holding fine just not pretty. (See Pictures) The hood on passenger side vibrates up/down at the back by windshield while driving. It does vibrate while driving like it has a bad U-Joint. The radiator/electric fan turns on when ignition is turn on. (previous owner rewired it because he did'nt trust the thermal switch in motor) The top does not seal 100% and rain will leak into the interior during heavy rains. (I found that out personally) The starter on occassion will grind when starting the car. (Previous owner gave me a spare starter ring for the flex plate) The steering does have some play. (Previous owner gave me another spare steering box) All Spare parts I was give by the previous owner will go with the car. The car does come with a universal car cover. Not the best but it does the trick The Radio in the car is a old am/fm/cassette out of a old ford. I think that covers all the wierd stuff I have noticed since I purchased the car. It was my intention to fix all the little issues and then drive it until the wheels fell off but now that I am moving to California I dont want to bother trying to it to pass the emissions test out there.
