1931 Ford Model A Tudor Sedan, Original Condition. This Model A was purchased from it's second owner, Mr. P., a Farmer in Michigan, who bought the car from his neighbor in 1959, when he was 19 years old. I have included a photo of the title from 1961, when he finally got around to titling the car. This car was kept in his barn in Sand Lake, and driven only on the farm, until it became necessary to make more room in the barn for his collection of 53 Tractors. The owner told me the car had been painted once, locally, and its in fairly good condition, for it's age- remarkably the steel of the original body is in good solid condition, -, with signs of wear and tear,- minor dings and scrapes,- some repairs, again- interior rough, and functional. No rust holes in the doors, aprons, cowl panels or rear body areas. I have changed the oil, installed new Champion plugs, and wires, new 6v battery and battery box,-replaced the Bendix- replaced the running boards, one side's brackets, the front fender braces, Zenith carb, ignition key, wiring harness, headlight switch, hoses, belt, driver's side rear glass, and channel. Replaced rear seat spring, (upper) and re-upholstered the rear seat back to match the nifty fifties red/white/and blue Naugahyde interior-( le baron bonney) Included is the new rear seat riser, and spring cover, ( new) ( Snyder's), and one inner fender, ( rusted old one...) a leak less water pump. Original wheels with good rubber. The car has '32 wheels on it now, as shown in photo#1, will switch upon purchase. This car runs and drives, (as is in condition #3) and has been registered and insured, since June 2011 in Mass. Clear Mass. Title. Original car very nearly, this means almost the whole car, and all it's parts, with the above noted exceptions, dates from 1931- so,.. The car runs,and drives, (and stops!) and have only driven it locally, so it will need a good going over to be used for touring- and also could be a good candidate for restoration. Motor numbers and tltle numbers match. The thing about this car is the original body, that's the expensive and difficult to fix part of any antique and collectible car, I learned a lot resoring my good friend's 1929 Model A Woody, after spending (her) small fortune replacing the wood body, and reconstructing the car, I learned that we can repair, replace all of the engine, drive train electrics, etc, but it's the BODY that is the most important part of any restoration, This one's a good one.
