Vehicle Detail
1974 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 "GREEN MACHINE" You are bidding on a 1974 Z/28 Camaro, ZZ502 Big Block Chevy. The ZZ502 crate motor was built and purchased from Tom Sallee over at Sallee Chevrolet on January 20, 2005 (unmolested). http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/ The motor currently has approximately 383 miles on it. The engine was dynoed at 606.09 Ft-Lbs at 4000 RPM and 566.07 HP at 5800 RPM, and I have a "VHS" tape of the engine being broke in on the dyno that I will give the winning bidder (see dyno spec sheet). This crate motor cost me approximately $10,000 by itself. Hydraulic roller camshaft, MSD Ignition with Rev Limiter, Moroso high volume oil pump with deep sump oil pan, aluminum GM performance heads, Demon carburetor. Runs on 93 octane gas (regular pump gas). Ceramic coated headers and stainless steel 3" exhaust to the mufflers and 2.5" over the rearend to the back of the wheels. Solid Moroso motor mounts, a BeCool radiator, dual puller electric fans, Russell braided hoses with red and blue fittings, custom Camaro dash panel with AutoMeter electronic guages, rear axle differential is a 10 bolt positraction unit, 4 wheel disc brakes and drilled and slotted rotors, sub-frame connectors, Belltech lowering leaf springs to drop the rear. Cal-trac traction bars, and Competition Engineering adjustable drag shocks in the rear. All wiring, black vinyl upholstery, headliner, and carpet was replaced in 1999. The transmission is a GM turbo 400. I got the transmission from Mad Dog Transmissions. http://www.maddogtransmissions.com/TH400_Transmission_p/l3%20th400.htm (NOTE: The transmission is not working. I think the bands are slipping. I don't have the cash to be messing with it any more.) The radio cassette player is also not working; however, the radio works fine and has 6 by 9 speakers in the rear and dual center dash speaker assembly in the front. Paint job is the factory color, paint code 49 (medium dark green metallic), and painted in 1999 with PPG products. (NOTE: I have driven this vehicle so there will be imperfections in the paint, it is 13 years old. I posted a pic of a small rust bubble on the "A" pillar that has been there for about 8 years. I have a trunk mat that I will give the winner. The Z28 stripes are vinyl and original to the Z28 of that time period. The wheels are 17X9.5" Boyd Coddington blaster aluminum wheels with New nitto 555 drag radials in the rear from discount tire and 17X8" on the front. QA1 Pro Adjustable Front Coil-Overs in the front. Holly Electric Fuel pump. The wiring and relay that you see in the trunk is for the electric fuel pump as 502's don't have a fuel block and require an electric fuel pump. I do not have a 17" spare tire for it. This car has won a lot of trophies from local car shows. It handles good and lots of power. It is really scary fast, so I urge any one who buys this car to be responsible and respect its power. I will not be held liable for any damage you do to the vehicle, you, or anyone else. In the vin is shown a "T" that signifies a Z/28. A 350 was the largest motor you could get in 1974. See link for more info. http://www.nastyz28.com/camaro/camaro74.php Note: The pic of my Camaro back when it was just finished. The pic was used for a magazine called Top Speed. Also back in 2002 at Ennis, Texas, at the Kid Fuel Super Chevy Show, the car won class winner. NOTE: the license plates match the Top Speed pic.
