1973 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER BROUGHAM FOUR DOOR HARDTOP HISTORY The all new for 1969 Fuselage styling was a huge hit with the public. There were minor trim changes and mechanical improvements for the 1970 through the 1973 models including the 5 mile per Hour impact front bumpers for 1973. The 1973 Chrysler New Yorker Brougham featured in this auction was a very early production 1973 model built in August 1972. It sold new at Civic Center Chrysler in St. Paul Minnesota on March 2nd 1973 and stayed in the original owners hands until April 2012. There is complete history of the car enshrined in a 3 ring binder that starts with the original window sticker and sales literature and continues to document the mileage through the years with all repair receipts to date. The actual mileage is 63,033. I have put over a thousand miles on it in the last couple of months without subjecting it to any foul weather conditions. The mileage is exempted on the Indiana Title in my name. . CONDITION This has to be one of the finest low mileage original 73 New Yorker Broughams anywhere. The current mileage is 63,033. It has always been garaged. The original vinyl top is very nice and there are no bubbles anywhere! The interior and trunk are in near mint original condition including the perfect original rimblow steering wheel, with the following exceptions. The driver’s side armrest has a crack and the carpet is stained under the passenger side front floormat. The exterior chrome, diecast and emblems are nearly perfect. The car has been allover painted in the original color at some point. The drivers door was painted later and does not exactly match. This is depicted in the photos. There are minuscule paint defects, but overall it is Very Nice! It is equipped with the Standard 440 engine and Torqueflite Automatic Transmission, Power Steering and Power Disc Brakes, Cruise control, Tilt Telescopic steering wheel, Automatic Temperature Control, Power Windows with Ventwings and Drivers Power seat with right seat recline and Power Trunk release. The heat and defrost function nicely. All of the Power equipment works well. It is equipped with a Factory 5 Speaker AM/FM Multiplex Stereo Radio. There is a nice new Matched set of five Cooper Trendsetter Whitewall Radial tires in 235x75R15 on Chrysler Road Wheels. Air shocks and a small trailer hitch have been added. There is a New NAPA Battery. The original spare wheel and jack have never been used. Everything on the car functions perfectly, except, the A/C system is low on refrigerant and there is small exhaust click on the passenger side for the first few seconds on startup. There is one small rust spot behind the Passenger side fender skirt depicted in one of the photos, other than that, the body is totally rust free. The car runs and drives beautifully. Drive anywhere at High Speed in comfort! It is Titled, licensed and insured in my name in Indiana. I have been getting 12 to 17 MPG on Regular Fuel! You can get into the Mopar Collector car hobby with a very nice turnkey survivor car. I believe that this New Yorker can be driven to any destination. It is freshly serviced and ready to go.
